Cousins signs a deal with Raiders. He probably starts the season until they feel Mendoza is ready to take over. If Kirk plays well enough during his time starting, he could be traded if other teams need a qb before trade deadline or setting himself for something in 27.
Cousins is officially a journeyman. I always thought he was a good qb honestly. Will never forget when he pulled up to camp in the minivan with us one year. Will definitely keep an eye on him Vegas. Clearly dude doesn't want to retire.

Making that kind of money -- why would he? Not that he'll get it all as there's a limit about what is guaranteed, but he's now surpassed Tom Brady for $ under his several FA contracts. Which is insane.
Making that kind of money -- why would he?
He's almost 38 years years old and worth nearly 200 million. Many would want to travel, relax, and hang out with the fam instead of getting beat up every week. His choice. Dude has stones to jump into Vegas dealing with Davis and Brady.

If he sees the field for any significant action it means Mendoza is hurt or a bust. He's insurance, so unlikely to get significantly beat up now.

Not necessarily. Klint said that it would be ideal for a rookie QB to sit behind a vet QB. I imagine it will depend on how Cousins pick up the offense during the training camp, which should be no issue for him.

Where he's drafted doesn't equate to him being a day 1 immediate starter.

Kirk Cousins is a sure fire Hall of Famer - in the business of sports.

Big props to him, king of the guaranteed money.

I’d also add Cousins is still one of the best 32 QBs in the league. I think he has a lot to provide from a mentor standpoint especially when dealing with things out of your locus of control from a front office perspective.

He has stated he was unaware when he signed with Atlanta that they were going to draft Penix. Cousins is clearly battle tested somehow surviving Allen/Snyder (Kurt Cousins smh). Like this move a lot for Vegas.

Russell Wilson who had an offer to be the Jets backup QB, decided to retire instead. He will now be part of CBS’s NFL Today.

CBS Nation let’s ride

RW is such a cornball, curious to see how he transitions to broadcasting

I'm having a hard time imaging Wilson doing well with broadcasting

Baker Mayfield supposedly wants 90-100 million per year. Good luck with that.

That can’t be serious.
