Re: F... gas prices
It really is getting ridiculous. I'm lucky my new job is close to my house. At this point it's costing me $40+ to fill up a sedan with low grade fuel, and Georgia is one of the friendlier states in terms of gas prices.
Still can't believe how 10 years ago it was like $0.99 a gallon. |

You can't compare the two. Their gas price is the same its the taxes on top of the gas prices that make the difference. |
Re: F... gas prices
Sense we are going to move the wife gave me the nod to buy another boat to run around in which will burn less gas. She fell hook line and sinker for that one.

Europe imposes massive fuel taxes, some countries actually have several. Yes its extremely high, but their whole infrastructure and transportation network is a complete 180 from ours. I do blame the government including the President. The oil lobby has such a grasp on our political system is a disgrace. Our enability to come up with a comprehensive energy strategy is flat out disgusting is a directly related to Big Oil and Big Government...on both sides of the aisle. |

[/B][/quote]Exactly. I live a little less than 15 miles from my office, so it's usually like a 20 minute drive with traffic. If I were to take public transportation it would probably take over an hour with at least 7 stops/transfers. |

Re: F... gas prices
Gas prices can blow me.
|
Re: F... gas prices
I gotta fill up tomorrow, today when I passed the station I saw it went up to 3.85. Pretty shitty considering it was like 3.45 a couple weeks ago.

yall pay a higher gas tax up in the ole NOVA under the transportation agreement...i think its like an extra 3%. but 3.85 would make me puke |
Re: F... gas prices
Yeah, prices definitely suck... but I think we should get used to it. The demand from India/China are growing, so it costs more for everyone. Maybe this is the impetus we need, especially in NoVA to move some of the business out of DC and into the suburbs so we can reduce the amount of commuters into DC and increase the standard of living.

Did gas go up again?
Haven't been to the pump in nearly 2 weeks. Working from home 4 days a week FTW. |

Reshaped the Insurance World without a education yet has no self discipline? Interesting and confusing at the same time. |
Re: F... gas prices

It's really not that hard once you get into a routine. I actually work better at home. No distractions & it's quiet. |

I guarantee I still get more shit done than the people who spend half the day walking around the office socializing or talking on the phone. My numbers are a little inflated anyway, a lot of those are automated posts from the news threads. |
