Hey Matty, what was that about there being no way we lose to the Titans?

My doomsday scenario of going 2-7 is looking pretty realistic.

Actually Matty is being pretty optimistic thinking this is "rock bottom." There's 10 more games to be played - going 2-14 is actually "rock bottom" for this season.

Just remember folks, it's always darkest right before it goes pitch black.

fought through a bad leg tired like a warrior to lead them but just ran out of time. Gibbs will say we have to look at the film and see which reciever ran the wrong route to but mark in such bad posititon that he couldnt make the blames that he ewas capable of making

Gibbs will say the redskin fans let Brunell down by booing him and not cheering for him when he made mistake which we all know wasnt mark fault, He the leader and soul of this team.

Fucking pathetic. That's all that needs to be said about the Redskins performance in today's game. If we can't beat a crap team like Tennessee, i shudder to think what we are going to look like against the Colts next week.

but hey like people been saying on here brunell had better stats then manning its in the bag, we have the eight car and the colts have manning who never done anything compared to brunell its a mismatch

Re: Titans (0-5) at Redskins (2-3)

you know whats even worse? i think after this year, if we miss the playoffs which right now is looking likely with 4 losses already, gibbs will not come back. and the bad thing is now greg williams looks like he would be a terrible head coach again! his defense is crap! and as for al saunders, his offense is looking bad too!

CHIEF CHUCKING MY SPEAR 10-15-2006 04:38 PM
Someone PLEASE defend Brunell as QB....

Go on.
Well, I could defend him, because I usually would at this point.
I will say this. I expected better from him today. But I'm also not ignorant enough to expect him to be the savior of a team that just got outplayed at home by the NFLs worst team.

I don't know what part of this situation would indicate to you that Jason Campbell would be able to win games. The offense moved the ball today w/Brunell. They scored 3 TDs.

The problems with this team are all on defense. This team couldn't stop my high school team on third down (and they usually stop themselves). Brunell hasn't cost this team ANY games. That's not defending him really, that's just blatently obvious.

He was 16/30 for 180 yards with 1 TD and 1 INT today. That's not that good. So I'm not going to sit here and act like Brunell had some sort of great day. But if you really think that statline is why we lost and that Jason Campbell would solve all problems, then you really don't know what you are watching. At all.

dude you need to start editing your posts. The edit button is there so you don't have to post 5 times in a row.

@Gtripp: Good point. There's more problems with this defense then there are with M.B. right now. It's just he's not consistent anymore. With the game on the line, we needing 3 points to tie the game and potentially send it to overtime, I expect my 14 year veteran quarterback to know what we have to do to win this game. I expect him to make smart decisions with the ball when the game is on the line. And throwing the ball to Moss when he's covered by like 5 guys is not a smart decision.

Re: Titans (0-5) at Redskins (2-3)

You have a point. But at the end of the day, we got him because of his "veteran' leadership. The game was there to be won at the end. Brunell could not make the DOWNFIELD throws to pull it off. My God, is Santana Moss the only fuckin reciever on the filed? Everybody in the damn stadium knew who he was lookin for, including the Titans! Then to throw into triple coverage................some veteran leadership!Hail from Nashville!

When the defense couldnt stop a rookie QB playing for the leagues worst team from getting 2 first downs, the game was in effect over. Veteran leadership does not mean miracle maker. In fact, quite the contrary. When Randle El was unable to give us good field position, I really did not expect to win the game. Brunell was picked off, but I don't really look at that as a worse outcome than time running out on us or a turnover on downs. Brunell went in and scored and added the 2 pt conversion to tie. The defense let them back into our territory where they eventually got a FG.

Re: Titans (0-5) at Redskins (2-3)

You act as if the Titans had a stellar D! They didn't. Why could we not move the ball when we needed to? I'll tell you why, we dinked and dunked all day. Then when we trail late in the 4th, we tried to open it up. you know it was Brunell that burned a valuable timeout cause he couldn't get the play called and run in time. I'm not asking for miracles, just do your fucking job, veteran leader! Who's next on the list of QB hopefuls.........Vinny Testaverde? Face it GTripp0012, Brunell Sucks!!!!!!!!! HAIL From Nashville!
