I bet the Jets are thinking the same thing about us.

At the end of the day, whether we lose by 5 or 50 a loss is a loss. The bigger concerns are Campbell's confidence (not worried about that) and Smoot and Rogers' health. The latter is a bigger worry. Torrence is a nice story, but as much as we like to hate Rogers here he's way way way way way way way way better than Leigh Torrence

I know Joe isn't much on fire and brimstone these days, but if today's little scrimmage doesn't inspire the wrath of God down on the team, we may really be dealing with a bigger issue than a depleted O-Line. I'm starting to wonder if this entire team suffers from a Heart Condition.

Ohio State would kick our ass now. Tressle is a better coach than Gibbs to be honest. He is more innovative and a hell of a lot better at making adjustments, at least better than Gibbs II.
Randy Moss also looked ordinary last year in Oakland with a struggling QB. Look at him now. A WR needs a good QB and Campbell is not playing well right now.
Are you really going to tell me that Brunell is better than Campbell? I'm not talking about today, as he's clearly going through the ringer, but maybe you ought to go back and check some game logs. Or better yet watch the "highlights" of the GB game, and see how many favors the receivers were doing for Jason.

If we lose today, we pretty much have no chance at a wild card. With this loss, we will drop down in the NFC tremedously. We blew out the Lions and the Lions have a better record than us!

My #1 biggest concern is how inept our offense is. They are flat out bad. Despite a mountain of "talent," they stink. Out loud. Hard to argue otherwise. Even the Cleo Lemon lead Dolphins managed 28 against this team. We couldn't score in a whorehouse with a fist full of hundreds.

Re: Redskins vs. Patriots game thread

The Patriots offense is a prime example of what happens when you field the best offensive line in the league. They can send four or five guys out on passing routes on every play and virtually guarantee that someone will be open each and every time. Meanwhile Brady sits back and takes his sweet time picking which one to toss to.

If ever there was an argument for dumping every last bit of time, effort and cash into your offensive line, the Patriots are it.

I said that 2 weeks ago.

I would LOVE to see this team get fired up over a loss. Stop taking it so damn easy like "Oh well, we didn't win but we'll look ahead to next week". No. Screw that. Get messed up. Get riled up over a loss. Take it hard.

I wanna see these guys come out LIT every week, especially after a thrashing like this. Showing some fire, emotion and passion about a loss shows that you really love the game and you'll do anything (within reason) to win.

All this pussyfooting around losses is such a turn off.

38-0 in the 4th quarter and they're gunning like it's the opening drive! Unbelievable.

No. There is a HS team in NYC that could give the Jets, Bills, and Fish a good run for their money. It's not as if NYC is known for HS football.

Tuff to watch this BIG ass whipping.....I now see how "plain vanilla" our offense is. We are not currently a playoff team. PLEASE LET THIS ONE END... SO WE CAN REGROUP AND FIGHT ANOTHER DAY!!!

I like your thinking. Seriously, let's just send 9 or 10 guys and hope to drill him a few times. Does it really matter if we get burned for a TD or three?

I would have to agree with you on that one. Poor execution can't be blamed on the coaching per say, but if it isn't addressed, coaching does take some responsiblity. Our passing game is horrible, at least Randle El is trying to earn his paycheck. Snyder needs to close the pocketbook for a while to get guys that want to win here. Everyone in the league knows the guy is an open bank and is looking to become a Skin just to cash in. Build with the draft, then if the guy delivers give him his due, not offer him a gazillion $$$$$$ before he has played one down for us.

Brady is still in? I am not watching, stuck with Jets-Bills. Fuck it, go after the SOB's knees. If they are going to try and run it up, make them pay for it. Belicheck is a piece of $h!t, he is lucky Brady didnt get killed last week when he put him back in the game at 42-21 with 8 minutes left.

That isn't true. Look at last year, Giants went from 6-2 to barely squeaking in. 9 weeks to go, a lot can happen in those 9 games.

mheisig 10-28-2007 06:37 PM

Re: Redskins vs. Patriots game thread

Patriots are up 38-0. It's the 4th quarter with 11:37 to play. It's 3rd down, in the red zone. The Patriots get a false start and Brady looks like he's ready to kill someone.
