Re: Redskins and Titans talking trade again on Albert Haynesworth
i think a general rule of thumb with the whole AH situation should be this: if there is ever any doubt over the outcome of an issue between the redskins and albert haynesworth, it's safe to assume that the worst possible outcome will happen. that really has summed up the past 4 months. the only positive exception would be him actually dropping weight in the off season...but apparently that was out of spite (so he couldn't play NT) so it doesn't really count.
that in mind, i predict AH will not learn the system, will not try hard or make plays and he will continuously run his mouth and cause problems until he is traded or released. nothing positive will ever come from the redskins/AH relationship.
I would argue that something positive has already come: Haynesworth defied Shanahan, Shanahan stuck to his guns, and we beat Dallas in our first game of the year, with an entirely new coaching staff and scheme, and we did it without any help from Haynesworth. The message has been sent: team prevails, individuals are not important. |

Re: Redskins and Titans talking trade again on Albert Haynesworth
I am done arguing with all the Albert haters because I have a better chance arguing to the mirror.
Just do me this favor. Watch every defensive snap with Kemo on the field. He goes backwards over and over and over and over. He is a hard working guy and I am pulling for him, but he is a stiff. Plain and simple. So if you get you wish, we have nobody on the D-line who has to be gameplanned for. |
Re: Redskins and Titans talking trade again on Albert Haynesworth
I haven't been impressed (even pleased) with Kemo all summer and even after last night's game. He gets pushed around too easily and doesn't really help his teammates even.
But that has nothing to do with Haynesworth really. When he wants to be, AH is clearly the better player. Not showing that he wants to be right now, so he's not showing that he is. |

ok, i'll agree with this...good point. i just don't think we'll ever see AH be a productive part of this defense. or of this team, for that matter. shanny won't bend and neither will AH. i've given up on him. |

Worse than Haynesworth. We were getting gashed for at least five yards a run for most of the game. We are lucky we were playing a Dallas team that had so moany lineman out and they chose to throw more than run. Dallas is watching film today wondering why they ever threw the ball as much as they did. Say what you want about Haynesworth and his attitude, we have a bigger problem, our RUN DEFENSE SUCKS. Also I know Hasslett is still learning with his new players, but please do not have only one D-linemen in on a 3rd and anything less than 5 yards. They had several 3rd and 2 and ran it successfully on us. |

Dallas has some great backs, but we were getting pushed up and down the field. Funny to say that since we gave up only 7 pts. |

I know for a fact that our run D was significantly better with Haynesworth playing last year. Someone did the math and it cannot be argued. So my first suggestion would be to put him on the field full-time. |

The draw play was an automatic first down. If we ran that formation in that situation 100 times against the Cowboys they would get a first down 100 times. |

Ok, how about this....... Redskins =Burger King Mike Shanahan =customer Albert Haynworth = Whooper with cheese When the customer goes into the Burger King resturant they say he can have his food "HIS WAY"If the customer doesn't want a whooper with cheese he doesn't have to have it and if he gets one for free he can do with it it as he wishs,....get it now? Point Mike Shanahan is the coach and things will be done "his way" not Alberts and what people seem to be missing .....as I said before Dan Snyder seems to be behind Mike Shanahan 110%, no player, no coach ,no fan...will change Shanahans mind . |
Re: Redskins and Titans talking trade again on Albert Haynesworth
I heard that there is a possibility that we do a three team trade with the titans and patriots. We would get Randy Moss, Titans would get Haynesworth, Patriots would get either a 3rd or a 4th rounder.
Makes sense to me. |

No way that happens Cult, Titans dont need AH anymore and Pats won't trade Moss, he's in the last yr of his deal.

The Pats already have a surplus of picks so adding a 3rd rounder that will become a nickle back for 3 or 4 years isn't worth trading away a 1,200 yard 10 TD receiver. Besides this isn't the first time that Moss and the Patriots have quarreled over a contract. |

Re: Redskins and Titans talking trade again on Albert Haynesworth
That is crazy talk. We have already given up way too many picks in future drafts for the guys we acquired this offseason. Also, too many stud Wrs coming out in 2011 in the college ranks to even want to pursue an aging Moss, or even Welker.

I dont care how many "studs" there are if NE was dumb enough to take a 3rd or 4th or both for either Moss or Welker, I'd take it in a heartbeat. |
Re: Redskins and Titans talking trade again on Albert Haynesworth
A little Mort report sponsored by PFT:
Haynesworth trade market could heat up, again Posted by Mike Florio on September 13, 2010 9:28 PM ET With one game in the books and another one six days away, the Redskins reportedly may once again explore the possibility of trading defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth, according to Chris Mortensen of ESPN. Mort reports that the Redskins "could try" to trade Haynesworth through Tuesday, and that the Titans remain the top potential trade partner. The price had been a second-round draft pick; Mort believes that the Redskins may take less than that. He says that Haynesworth hasn't learned the Redskins' 3-4 defense and that he doesn't care to learn it. Meanwhile, coach Mike Shanahan did his best to preserve leverage by projecting a sense that Haynesworth is going nowhere. "We had most of our linemen play between 15 and 30 plays and they rotated," Shanahan said Monday, explaining the limited snaps Haynesworth received on Sunday night against the Cowboys. "We had six lineman up for the game. Talking about Albert, Albert played hard. He's getting more comfortable with the 3-4 scheme every time he takes a rep. Hopefully, he keeps on getting better and better, but he did play extremely hard." Possible translation? "If you trade for him, you won't be getting a head case who only plays hard when he's chasing a pot of gold." |
Re: Redskins and Titans talking trade again on Albert Haynesworth
AH isn't dominant in the 3-4, and my guess is he doesn't much care. We should find a way to trade him IMO, but we should not give him away either. What's the trade deadline? There's a dominant 4-3 DT bound to go down to injury at some pt...

What pisses me off is that Kris Jenkins was a dominant 4-3 DT in Carolina, On the Jets he's a dominant 3-4 NT/DE so WTF Albert stop being a bitch. |

If we trade AH I would hope to get a player in return that can help this team now.. Maybe Britt hell Tenn doesn't throw the ball anyway

You can put this Dip Shit ( AH) on the field but if he doesn't know his assignment or won't do his assignment he just hurts the defense. I want AH to be a Redskin but does he truly in his heart won't to be here? It does not appear like he wants to be here by the way he stood by himself when the defense was on the sideline in a huddle. |

Boy LL must've busted in your house and raped your mother, the way you're talking. Did you even watch the game yesterday? Probably the first game I've seen in a while where he didn't constantly whiff on a big hit. And the whole 17 tackles thing backs that up too. Why don't you come back once the season is over and we have a good sample size before you pull out the bust card? |
