Re: 2011 NFL Draft: Rounds 4-7
Serious competition at RB and WR. Restocking the bare cupboard.
|
Re: 2011 NFL Draft: Rounds 4-7
Another smallish wide receiver? wow! Moss is gone for sure.
|
Re: 2011 NFL Draft: Rounds 4-7
another wr...say wha?
|
Re: 2011 NFL Draft: Rounds 4-7
Is it a rebuilding year?
|
Liked the picks til Royster. He is decent, but we still need to address the O line and a LB.
Don't forget, they could address these through FA. I just keep trying to convince myself they have a plan. Vinny no longer lives here. Right?!? |
Re: 2011 NFL Draft: Rounds 4-7
Ha hahahaha I don't know whats funnier. The Redskins drafting another Wide Receiver or Jason Garret talking about looking for players with great intangibles. Probably the Redskins.

our 1st round pick is going to be a LB |
Re: 2011 NFL Draft: Rounds 4-7
bye bye moss
Might just mean bye bye Austin. We drafted two rather solidly built Wrs, but who knows. You just might be right. |
Re: 2011 NFL Draft: Rounds 4-7
And another WR Aldrick Robinson
Overview Robinson is an undersized receiver that could develop into a quality slot receiver at the next level. He fights off the press effectively for a smaller wide receiver and has the suddenness to gain separation in both man and zone coverage. He is a smooth athlete with tremendous focus that always catches the ball in stride, but he is not overly elusive in the open field. He does not have speed to get behind coverage, but he is fearless going across the middle. Robinson has great quickness and hands and may be a steal in the later rounds. Strengths Robinson has a compact muscular build. Possesses a quick first step and eats up cushion quickly. Fluid athlete that maintains speed in transition and separates in man coverage. Very coordinated kid that has great hands and body control to make acrobatic catches. Fearless working the middle of the field. Weaknesses Does not have the speed to stretch the field at the next level. Undersized player that will get out muscled by bigger defensive backs in jump ball situations. Lacks precision at times in his routes. Played in a spread and will have to adjust to a pro style system. |

Exception that proves the rule. |
Re: 2011 NFL Draft: Rounds 4-7
Looks like Aldrick Robinson is a blazer and has hops. Oh and he repped as many on the bench as our Jenkins.

Kind of like getting a bunch of popcorn popping oil and popcorn salt with no seeds. |
Re: 2011 NFL Draft: Rounds 4-7
WOW....Shanny must love our OL situation as well as our Phenomenal QB situation
|
Re: 2011 NFL Draft: Rounds 4-7
Ok I guess I understand the WR picks. but my magazine has a ton of WR's way ahead of Aldrick Robinson.
Terrence Toliver Darvin Adams Terrance Turner Armon Binns DeAndre Brown WTF? I guess the coaching staff is happy with our OL. OFW. |

Yeah -- I was thinking the same thing. Wiping the slate clean -- a complete free-for-all full of young, hungry guys eager to prove themselves. |

Yeah but a lot of people think we need someone next to London. He won't be around much longer either. |

I just keep trying to convince myself they have a plan. Vinny no longer lives here. Right?!?
I like what they are doing with WR. The first two WRs we picked up were not smurfs or lanky. I don't know about this third one though. I originally posted before they mad that pick. |

Hoping Perry Riley will be that guy |

Overkill at WR. I don't get it.
Hopefully all 4 seventh round picks will be spent in the trenches. |

Look, he was so bad no one came to see him play. Look at all those empty seats. |

Well to be fair ScoutsInc assigned him a 5th round grade so it's a value pick. Maybe they're trying to motivate Banks. |

Very true. Plus, with Kerrigan, we can slide Lorenzo inside. |
Yeah but a lot of people think we need someone next to London. He won't be around much longer either.
That is my point. We need 2 LBs at least. I like the first 3 Wrs they got. Physical guys. The 4th is smallish like Austin. I hope we don't dump Moss right off the bat. He still has skills, just needed more help. The kid from Miami along with Armstrong will give him that help. |
Re: 2011 NFL Draft: Rounds 4-7
Exception that proves the rule.
Well, you can go back in time a bit to the likes of Lenny Moore, Franco Harris, & Curt Warner. |

MLB is not the biggest weakness on our team. i may have picked up some OL and CB but i will give the front office some slack and let them build our team in this draft and next years. |
Very true.
Hoping Perry Riley will be that guy
Yeah Riley can't play both ILB positions. You can't expect London to be around too much longer. Rocky hasnt been cutting it. |
Re: 2011 NFL Draft: Rounds 4-7
Both of our picks made it on TV which at this point is something. McShay just called him a sleeper.
|
Re: 2011 NFL Draft: Rounds 4-7
McShay just said we just probably got the best sleeper in the draft.
|

They talking about Royster and Robinson. Kiper said our new QB was Beck. Hmm...
|

and also have robert henson. |
Come on, Lotus. Isn't it time for a makeover at wideout?
Moss is all we had last year, Armstrong is a nice deep threat but not much else. Yeah the WR spot was pretty bare before this draft. |
Re: 2011 NFL Draft: Rounds 4-7
Come on, Lotus. Isn't it time for a makeover at wideout?
I suppose that I would have considered two new wideouts to be makeover enough. |
