A fairweather fan is someone who says "**** this team" just because we are down by 15 points with a whole half left to play. A fairweather fan is someone that is a negative the whole week, and then when we win they say "I knew it all along". etc..

I think that's a pretty narrow way of looking at it. Fair weather fans to me are someone who was never fully on the bandwagon to begin with. But like to jump on when things are going good and then completely trash the team when they're bad.

Just because you say negative things about the team doesn't make you a fair weather fan. Negative and pessimistic maybe.

But being a fan doesn't mean you have to constantly be a kool-aid drinking homer every week.
