Three Super Bowls....
Griffin gets us three super bowl wins.
I suppose I could live with that.

Re: Redskins: 2012 Off-Season-Free Agency/Trades

Targets Preview 1 Offense:

Kyle Orton, QB, Chiefs: Orton is a veteran quarterback that could easily fill the seat until RG3 (or luck) is ready. The acquisition of Orton would be more effective then retaining Grossman due to the simple fact that Orton would give us a better chance at some wins until our coveted rookie is ready. Orton would provide a good character to mentor and due to the few options that would offer him starts, he should not be to difficult to convince, while also not being expensive.

Projected Contract: (2 years, 7 million)

Vincent Jackson, WR, Chargers: The arguably #1 widereciever option in free agency. He is 29, but has not yet shown signs of backing down. The Redskins desperately need a top receiver, and the reports trickling from sources suggest the Redskins to do almost anything to get him. In all honesty, I’ll be very surprised if he is not signed to the Redskins by Wednesday night.

Projected Contract: (4 years, 45 million)

Eddie Royal, WR, Broncos: A less impactful signing, but a type of low risk, high reward acquisition. He produced very effective statistics after being drafted by Shanahan. The simple connection is enough to make me believe in a reuniting of sorts.

Projected Contract: (1 year, 2 million, heavy incentives)

Samson Satele, G, Raiders: I do not expect the Redskins to be able to acquire Carl Nicks, Ben Grubbs, or Chris Meyers, so Satele is the next best option at only 27 years of age. He helped the Oakland line bulldoze over opposing defenses in 2011. The Redskins will sign a offensive lineman, not allowing RG3 to be behind the current makeup, the only question is who

Projected Contract: (5 years, 30 million)

Preview Number 2 on the defensive side is coming tomorrow

If Orton is going to be a backup, I can see him staying in KC or go somewhere where he can compete to be a starter. Satale seems like a good options, (know anything about him SFREDSKINS?)
Here what I want to see:

Offense

WR-Pierre Garcon
WR-Eddie Royal
RT-Ryan Harris

Defense

NT-Paul Soliai
LB-Stephen Tulloch
FS-Reggie Nelson
CB-Brandon Carr
CB-Chris Carr(Cut DeAngelo Hall)
I like Garcon. I like Royal, but he's never healthy. Ryan Harris is a better version of Jamal Brown, but just as often injured.

Soliai is great, but we aren't signing him because we signed a NT last offseason.

Tulloch is great, but isn't leaving detroit, IMO. We want Fletch. We like what we see from Perry Riley (could be a navarro bowman for us).

Brandon Carr is great, I'd love to have him, I know we're interested, but right now Dallas is the favorite to get him and is clearly interested.

Chris Carr is not good, waste of money IMO.

He played for the Dolphins and was either cut or traded to the Raiders, can't remember. He has his great moments and bad moments, I think with good coaching he could turn out to be a solid player.

I feel that we could be fine with our current line except at right tackle. However, I wouldn't mind competition or to have insurance in case we lose Kory L. doesn't come back well from his injury.

What I said was more of a joke about him being a pussy. However, I don't want a guy who has multiple PF/fines for fighting. One thing is being a bit of a character and being talented, but another is acting on stupidity and getting penalties that affect your team.
