I Agree with Mrs. Rave-Quake. I wouldn't mind having him but I think we go CB in the 3rd round. |

Re: 2012 Redskins Free Agency Tracker
Brandon Merriweather has landed in DC--Rich Tandler
|
Re: 2012 Redskins Free Agency Tracker
Wouldn't mind a merriweather signing, but not opposed to resigning Landry.
|
Re: 2012 Redskins Free Agency Tracker
Like Merriweather and I would be happy to get this guy.

i think safety is more urgent than cb in the 3rd, even if we sign merriweather, he is def not the merriweather he use to be |

Side news, I want this guy. He should stop by after he visits baltimore. |
Re: 2012 Redskins Free Agency Tracker
LONDON FLETCHER needs to be our top priority. Perry Riley is literally the only ILB under contract right now. Riley is good but we need 2 starters here. Fletcher is the heart of this defense! lets get him and then worry about our secondary needs

I don't know. I like a mean streak in a SS. Kinda goes with the position. The guy makes plays. |

Go ahead I'll meet you. So you guys think we'll get Merriweather and Ross?? |
Re: 2012 Redskins Free Agency Tracker

|
What about Chris Johnson DB from Oakland? He's available

Very possible..I think theres a 75% chance we get Meriweather. We have some money we have no safeties, makes us intriguing to him. I say 50% that we get Ross. |
Re: 2012 Redskins Free Agency Tracker
If I was the skins I would look towards the draft to pick up a S (I know it's a crappy class). I would see about moving up to grab Harrison Smith, S, Notre Dame or Markelle Martin, S, Oklahoma State.

Isnt Smith projected to go late first early second. No way we can move up that high without having to give up too much. |
Re: 2012 Redskins Free Agency Tracker
I think that Redskins should turn their attention to Early Doucet, and let Eddie Royal go. If 6 million a year is not enough for him, I dont think we should sign him
|
Re: 2012 Redskins Free Agency Tracker
And I think Merriweather could be a steal. He is a 2 time pro bowler and only 28. No way he just fell off, him and Belichick had a falling out and if Belichick dont like you your out of there. Then he was thrown into the fire without even knowing the bears scheme. If we could sign him cheap it would be a great pickup. Hes aggressive and fast. When he was a pro bowler and on the right page with Bill he was a hell of a player.

I dont think he would fit, I like Early, hes a good player, but we have our starting 3 between Morgan, Garcon, and Hank/moss/gaffney. I think if we pick up another receiver he has to be able to fill the returner roll. Unless Early does returns? |

Forgot about Brandon Taylor, he could go late 2nd early 3rd. |

This... Royal only had 1 good rookie year... Ted Ginn is a better option, or maybe even someone in the 4th rd like Jarius Wright from Arkansas |
Re: 2012 Redskins Free Agency Tracker
Royal has shown that he has the potential to be a productive receiver. Ted Ginn is probably a slightly more useful Banks.
|
Re: 2012 Redskins Free Agency Tracker
Royal over ginn for me.
|
Re: 2012 Redskins Free Agency Tracker
I want the Royal Shanny tandom again. Worked last time.
|
Re: 2012 Redskins Free Agency Tracker
Royal > Ginn as a WR
Ginn > Royal as a KR/PR Royal > Ginn as a player |
Re: 2012 Redskins Free Agency Tracker
Lets get Evan Mathis or Eric Winston before we start talking about another receiver. Heck see if you can get Eric Steinbach at a discount.
|
Re: 2012 Redskins Free Agency Tracker
OL depth / competition should be addressed asap yes

Chris Rainey does returns. Probably get him in the 5th round. Better Returner and could play the slot and get touches out of the RB spot for 300k a year. He could be just as dangerous a Ginn at KR/PR. |
