Re: Redskins vs. Saints Gameday Thread

i didn't like any of what just happened in that last minute and a half. no reason to give the Saints a chance we have to try to move the ball.

Special teams is garbage

DynamiteRave 09-09-2012 02:29 PM

Re: Redskins vs. Saints Gameday Thread

Maybe they'll actually try to get a FG with 40 seconds left instead of just rolling over.

Kyle shanahan is a big fat p&ssy for that last series

Come on Banks. Get it back.

EARTHQUAKE2689 09-09-2012 02:29 PM

I am not even surprised by that.

Shanahan, if you have anything between your legs -- take a shot deep

SBXVII 09-09-2012 02:30 PM

Re: Redskins vs. Saints Gameday Thread

Sit on the ball. Go into the half. Regroup. Still up by 6.

EARTHQUAKE2689 09-09-2012 02:30 PM

Re: Redskins vs. Saints Gameday Thread

Always some stupid shit against the Saints.

VegasSkinsFan 09-09-2012 02:32 PM

Re: Redskins vs. Saints Gameday Thread

good idea to take it to half.

NC_Skins 09-09-2012 02:32 PM

Re: Redskins vs. Saints Gameday Thread

Like I said, you don't go conservative with 2 mins left and you have the ball. God damnit Kyle! You were doing such a great job with the play calling and you shit it up on that last drive which results in a blocked punt.

Also, Fire Danny Smith!!!

Re: Redskins vs. Saints Gameday Thread

I hate when teams don't take shots downfield in situations like these. At least try to get in FG range.

cdskins26 09-09-2012 02:33 PM

Re: Redskins vs. Saints Gameday Thread

plays like that could cost us the game. only way we win this is if we take it back in their face and score before the half

VegasSkinsFan 09-09-2012 02:33 PM

Re: Redskins vs. Saints Gameday Thread

hell if anyone told us that we'd be up by 6 prior to the kickoff we'd be happy as hell.

Doughty...

Re: Redskins vs. Saints Gameday Thread

We should have at least tried to move the ball. 40 seconds starting from the 25 with 2 timeouts. They haven't been able to stop us.

Re: Redskins vs. Saints Gameday Thread

Special teams continues to be an issue. That was piss poor blocking on that blocked punt. Also, why the F are we running from shotgun on 3rd and short? That was a stupid call IMO, you either run it from the I formation or throw a slant. Ugh.

DynamiteRave 09-09-2012 02:38 PM
yup, missed his block. no clue how he continues to make this roster
Because he's and average backup and everyone creams themselves over him. The guy's not garbage, but he's not average, we could've easily picked up someone who's at least a little better than him.

Re: Redskins vs. Saints Gameday Thread

I always hear that Danny Smith is a good coach, but is there any evidence of this?

Last year we had the most blocked pats in the history of the universe. Now this garbage.

I was waiting for the blowup. Knew it was to good to be true. I feel like I should go to sleep now, and save myself the heartache.

Re: Redskins vs. Saints Gameday Thread

No excuse for that kind of BS play. These guys better learn you have to play for 60 minutes or they'll have a rude awakening. Come back in the 2nd half and ball your a** off!

Gtothearry 09-09-2012 02:41 PM

Looks like a totally different team. The missed block cost us 7 but hopefully we can put up points on our opening drive of the 2nd half.

DynamiteRave 09-09-2012 02:42 PM

Re: Redskins vs. Saints Gameday Thread

Man it'd be nice if we could put up another 20 in the final 2 quarters.

HailGreen28 09-09-2012 02:43 PM

Re: Redskins vs. Saints Gameday Thread

RG3 is the individual star, but I'd say the D has carried us so far.

So we need to go back to the screens, and go deep with all the time RG3 is getting?

And keep trying to collapse the pocket from the front on Brees?

Ruhskins 09-09-2012 02:43 PM
yup, missed his block. no clue how he continues to make this roster
Huh? It was Keenan Robinson (#52) that missed the block in the interior.

BaltimoreSkins 09-09-2012 02:43 PM

Re: Redskins vs. Saints Gameday Thread

Hate blown plays like that but felt offensive play calling was a little more conservative than the previous drives.

MTK 09-09-2012 02:45 PM

Re: Redskins vs. Saints Gameday Thread

The blocked punt aside we're off to a great start. Just gotta keep it going in the 2nd half.

Mechanix544 09-09-2012 02:46 PM

Re: Redskins vs. Saints Gameday Thread

Robinson missed his block, and had a holding penalty on the second return of the game where banks got it to the 45, and we went back to the 12. Sit the rook, and let him learn a lesson.

Wow.. Garcon out too. This is fabulous

Re: Redskins vs. Saints Gameday Thread

They showed Sundberg holding his hand talking to Shanny after the play. At least we get it to start the second half.

We're still moving the ball. This is good.

HailGreen28 09-09-2012 02:49 PM

lol. is this the type play we're running over and over again like the first half screens?
