It's football. It's a tough sport and guys get hurt all time. The media needs to let it go and so do the fans. He's going to be fine come Sept. If he's not, Cousins will step in and play well.

I'm just pontificating on the why. Same thing happened with Strasburg. With Rivers. With Cutler. Can't make people let it go, especially when people are invested emotionally. It is what it is.

It also has to do with the fact that he is a media "darling". The Redskins have been getting national coverage all year. So when the "savior" is injured he gets a lot of play. People care, he gets ratings, and he will continue to do so.

How many times have all of us checked for updates on his health since he was injured in the game?

I think this particular injury is garnering more attention because there was smoke - alot of smoke- before the fire. So now there is a whole other level to this thing of , could it have been avoided?

I'm thinking partial tears, which is the latest being reported, can heal sufficiently before the season starts. If the injury we as truly damaging like a torn ACL/MCL we would have already knew about it.

I hope your right, but I'm thinking its just the opposite. I think if there was a complete tear we wouldve heard about it by now like the baltimore week. I think he had the surgery or will have it tmrw to start rehab. Either way I know he will be ok and work hard to be back sometime next year. But like I said I hope you are right.

I'd chalk it up that his ACL is torn as well. They're dragging it out way to long. I think they're leaving open every possibility until the Dr. Actually sees that the ligament is torn.

sounds to me like they don't see a new tear in the ACL but are uncertain if the graft from the first reconstruction surgery he had in college is still ok or if it is failing and needs to be rebuilt . . . hopefully we'll find out soon enough . . . one good thing is there must not be a ton of swelling or they would have to hold off further on the surgery and they are doing it this week . . .

Recovery time is different for everyone, some recover quicker than others.
A good way to judge recovery would be to see how long it took him the first time he injured himself. Maybe the second time takes a little longer? Who knows, who cares about the time line, i just want him to be healthy in the long run like when he joined the team.
