Rambo definitely wasn't ready last year. But who's to say he won't be improved this year?

Yup but he set his floor so low. He has an uphill climb just to make the team. So improvement will only get him a spot on the team. His tackling is so horrible, he can't even play special teams.

Re: 34th Overall Pick

So now we have a much better idea of who is available for round 2.

To me Stephen Tuitt could be a great pick or Van Hoy.

I was hoping Ward or Buchannom would have made it to us, but that wasn't the case.

Thoughts??

Now I am torn fellas!
Morgan Moses is my knee jerk reaction but Nix is tempting as well as trading down!
This is why I love the draft

Feel the same way- torn with Morgan Moses or a DL. But I'm really disappointed that the 1st round level DBs didn't fall to 34. Validates my own evaluation on a few of these players though. Deone Bucannon was projected a few weeks ago in the 3rd round or later.

I will put Hageman over Nix if I went NT

Re: 34th Overall Pick
This team has failed to draft enough OL and DL repeatedly in the first two rounds. Reverse the trend the team will benefit. We are an injury or two from having the worst LB's in the league too. Draft more of them and draft them higher in the draft. Most will bust you need to take repeated shots at it. I'd love better DB's. We can't fix both issues this draft I'd concentrate on bigs unless someone I truly coveted was available at another area.
Well, it looks quite likely that you'll get your trenches fix; some great linemen left on both sides of the ball. Can't go wrong with Su'a-Filo if we go OL, but perhaps we'll go RT, in which case I hope we select Moses or Kouandijo. On DL, my preference would be Nix. Don't really want Hageman; he's got a lot of talent, but is too inconsistent.

Su'a-Filo is my latest hopeful at #34.

Not only would he be a huge upgrade over Chester, but we could cut that particular joke and save a lot of cap.

Wouldn't be a back pick at all but between the developmental prospects already at Guard and the lack of Tackle depth on the roster I think Filo would be kind of a luxury pick. Not that Gettis and company will be better then Sua-Filo but I think that unless they see a future Randy Thomas like player I'd say go for the tackle.

Second Round Mock Draft From ESPN
With the first round in the books, there remains an ample amount of talent left on Day 2. We have two remaining players who carry first-round grades still on the board in Virginia OT Morgan Moses and USC WR Marqise Lee, both of whom should come off the board quickly at the top of the second round.

Teams should also still be able to find plenty of depth at wide receiver, cornerback and offensive line, while the running back position should start to bring strong value and return in Rounds 2 through 4.

Below is a second-round mock draft headlined by three quarterbacks and seven wide receivers.

Pick 1 (33 overall) Texans -- QB Jimmy Garoppolo, Eastern Illinois
2 (34) Redskins -- OT Morgan Moses, Virginia
3 (35) Browns -- WR Marqise Lee, USC
4 (36) Raiders -- QB Derek Carr, Fresno State
5 (37) Falcons -- DE Demarcus Lawrence, Boise State

We need to take the kid Moses out of Va and stick him at RT for the next ten years! I was reading that he gave up two sacks in 506 pass attempts.

What about Cyrus Kouandjio?

Re: 34th Overall Pick

If they feel BPA is on offense, then I believe Cyrus Kouandjio will be the pick.

If the rumours of wanting to upgrade the pass rush are true, then for some reason I could see it being Kony Ealy.

Re: 34th Overall Pick

Wow, there are a lot of good D line guys left to pick.
I didnt want to go there, particularly DE, but some of them would be hard to pass up.
Kony Ealy
RaShede Hageman
Timmy Jernigan
Some nice TEs there too.
We are going to end up with a very nice pick.

skinsfaninok 05-09-2014 07:47 AM

I'm fine with RT or DB. Honestly even if we drafted Lee from Usc I wouldn't be mad.

Roberts jackson garcon. Although the kid might wind up being better than any of them, I dont think upgrading WR should even be remotely in our Collective FO/fanbase heads today. I would be terribly distraught if we pick him. Lol.

again, trading down makes so much sense. Buffalo gave up a 2015 first, and 5th to move up a few spots. If Oakland wants Carr make them pay.

Seems to be some buzz that Kouandjio will be the pick.

The more I look at the players who are still available, the less of a clue I have of what the Skins might do at #34. I trust this Redskins player personnel people to do the right thing.

I'd love to see them fix RT but if the the remaining OT prospects don't grade out well enough to pick any of them at #34 I'm fine with going with a player at another position or trading down in the second round.

I'd love to sneak a peek at the Skins' draft board.

Still hoping to trade down a couple spots. the alabama tackle is not a bad pick, not the best pick at that spot. guard from ucla better

Cyrus has been one of my top 3 guys all along. Hope we can get him.
