Re: Redskins/Giants: Gameday Thread
Every bounce, call, deflection, reflection, misdirection, and every other ection went their way. Guaranteed we are 2-2 next week and tied for first place. Gauranteed. Eagles will be 0-4. Giants at best 2-2. Cowboys 2-2 without Romo

Re: Redskins/Giants: Gameday Thread
Wow. We returned a kick for a TD. Ross. People said he was a scrub. Dude is legit.
|
Re: Redskins/Giants: Gameday Thread
At least they are finding some guys that want to be on this team, Thompson and a few others played really well this quarter.
|
Re: Redskins/Giants: Gameday Thread
In all seriousness, 10 days of media slobbering on Eli, and killing the skins.
|
Re: Redskins/Giants: Gameday Thread
Rick Ross!

Who cares. And i live in NJ. I know what we are capable of. |
Cousins is a really gud back up. And gruden is a really gud coordinator, not a head coach
Let's see if he points out Kirk footwork, and mistakes tonight. Gruden a good X's and O's guy, no leader!! He can run to Espn and tell them he want this and that now. We need a leader who makes guys accountable on and off the field. Not a guy who wants to buddy up with the media!! |
Redskins/Giants: Gameday Thread
And another "unfortunate" bounce.

Re: Redskins/Giants: Gameday Thread
Why not go for 2 though... it would have made it 10...
|
Re: Redskins/Giants: Gameday Thread
Come on Eli. Throw it out of bounds! Lol
Rick Ross!
Hustlin' hustlin'. :joecool: How long has it been since we had a return TD anyway? Ross deserves an award of some kind. |
Re: Redskins/Giants: Gameday Thread
All will be right in the world if we bounce back and beat the Eagles. 2-2, 1-1, in the division is perfectly acceptable to me after 4 weeks.

Will be better than what anyone expected. If I was told we would be 2-2 after 4 weeks prior to the season, I would have taken it. |
Re: Redskins/Giants: Gameday Thread
Well maybe they could fumble it and we run it in for a TD?
|
Re: Redskins/Giants: Gameday Thread
Tonight was not their night from the very beginning, I'm not giving up. They'll bounce back.

And like i said Giants at best will be 2-2. Dallas no romo. We could easily be in first after week 4. Wtf is eli throwing for? Lol |
Re: Redskins/Giants: Gameday Thread
Eli always kills us.
|
Re: Redskins/Giants: Gameday Thread
God we need Jackson back. 1:34 when drive started. Score quick onsides? Cant get downfield.
|
Re: Redskins/Giants: Gameday Thread
Cooley is knocking Cousins for not being fast enough on the 2 min drill.

Same as me. I'm hoping for 8-8, so that's right in line. |
Re: Redskins/Giants: Gameday Thread
Cousins padding those stats in garbage time.
|
Re: Redskins/Giants: Gameday Thread
He's made some weird decisions, but he hasn't been in this situation much.
|
Re: Redskins/Giants: Gameday Thread
Cousins threw 50 passes tonight.
You better not be throwing that much unless your name is Peyton or Tom. |
Re: Redskins/Giants: Gameday Thread
First place heading into week 5. Rejoice all. Rejoice.
|
Re: Redskins/Giants: Gameday Thread
Terrible,embarrassing performance. No positives
|
Re: Redskins/Giants: Gameday Thread
I'm tossing this one out as a Thursday throw away game. Lots of teams have them. Glad it was on the road too. Can't waste home games. Already lost a chance against Dolphins.

So answer this question!! When the other guy was at qb it was a timing offense, 3, 5, 7 steps ball out. This guy running around throwing the ball and where is the timing talk now. This guy might be better, but not the future!! |
Re: Redskins/Giants: Gameday Thread
I hate Thursday night games, should move them to Friday night.

Young guys stepped in at the end. Got a ST Touchdown. Not much more than that for good. Matt Jones needs to understand fumbles cost games. Cousins needs to sleep before Thursday night games against the Giants, not during. |

Not true Ross 101 yard return Crowder is being involved Hopkins |

The answer is simple, he does the timing rhythm throws, no need to talk about what he can do, criticism always focuses on what any player can't do. I think people who think Cousins being in means he's the future. It's not that, it's just he gives the team the best chance to win any given game. If he turns the corner - bonus, but the qb of the future simply isn't on this roster right now. |
Re: Redskins/Giants: Gameday Thread
I have a floating holiday tomorrow...think I'm gonna wake up, smoke a joint and take the dog to state park. Somehow talk myself into "it's early, skins can turn it around" convo. Shit this fandom is tough.

Re: Redskins/Giants: Gameday Thread
We got 9 days to regroup and get healthier, sit down and evaluate were things went wrong and fix them.

Redskins/Giants: Gameday Thread
Our o-line in pass pro was freaking awesome for alot of that game. That is a huge plus. KC had more time than i remember any qb having for ten years and thats a good good sign. Our new kicker is dead on. Crowder and Ross looking like some future ballers. We are a young team. We are being built correctly. The early 9-0 hole just changed everything. We need better qb play than what we saw tonight n Jackson will help that. DHall "should" be ok. Hopefully Lavaou too. Things are not nearly as bad as some think. Even the sloppy losses feel better than they have in recent history. This felt more like growing pains than it felt like just straight up pain. Lets go beat butt fumble next weekend thats all. Got plenty of time to prepare.

And let me add that Breeland was in both TD plays and unfortunately for him in a game of inches the ball bounced the other way, specially the Randle TD. |

This was such a game of inches. And every up for grabs inch went their way. Every bounce and bobble. This was so not a typical Skins blowout. Giants are no better than we are. |

I just like to see 3 tds, 0 ints, and 100 passer rating against a first defense. I'm not against him, just don't see the same talk about this throw, and that throw. He had a chance to beat these guys to death. He guys open all night, even the ones he hit he was off sometimes. P.S. He been playing in this type of offense for years, and only got a little better. |
Re: Redskins/Giants: Gameday Thread
We had opportunities to win this game. Kirk just didn't make the throws. Jordan Reed could have had 3 touchdowns tonight if Kirk would pass the ball better. The defense did their job. Special teams still not where they need to be. I do believe this team has improved. We just have to execute a lot better.
|
Re: Redskins/Giants: Gameday Thread
Some of you guys need to fucking relax. As I said, chances are we were not going on the road on a short week to beat the Giants. They are BETTER.
As far as KC is concerned, he's going to have games like this. He's finding his way as a starter and may or may not be the future. I was bothered more by his 2nd pick than the first one. Eli is better, he's had so many terrible games over the years but he's still a two time SB MVP. But he is clearly better than KC and showed that tonight. But he also has like way more experience too. Blocked punt was horseshit. Plummer getting his manhood taken by a rb is inexcusable. He should have been cut after the pentalty and given a bus ticket home. The offense is clearly missing Jackson. Did Grant even catch a pass? |

We don't have that guy on this roster. But the thing is, we are building the rest of the team, the OL, the DL, first. Then we will hopefully bring in a couple guys to see if we find that QB. |
