Bruce is team president. An organizational shake up already happened and he could have moved Bruce at any point after the Giants game and he hasn't. In terms of Snyder not moving football people in season that referred to coaches as far as i understood it. I have never heard DS say firing VC in season was a mistake.
Exactly! There’s been NOTHING stopping Snyder from firing or reassigning Bruce Allen. I can see why you’d wait for Gruden until the end of the season, but that doesn’t affect Bruce Allen. If Allen was going to be fired or reassigned it would have been done already, allowing a new front office to start immediately after the season ended building a new staff and coaching staff.

Bruce Allen’s worthless piece of shit isn’t going anywhere

Changes to non-football operations can be made any time because it doesn’t affect the team.

Still, Snyder was waiting until the offseason to fire lefamina, but Lafemina was about to fire a ton of long-time lower level redskins employees who Snyder liked. Lafeminas firing was a “preemptive strike” to keep that from happening.

Snyder has been very unhappy with the way Bruce has handled things for sometime. He’ll be moved to another position or let go after the seasons over.

The Redskins deserve it but only cuz Snyder is an idiot. Like he’s going to sit there and act surprised about this? He doesn’t look down at the sea of opponents colors when we play at home? He’s either a complete moron or just playing dumb to save face.
Fair enough purge was a harsh word, but if you let the COO go because you plan on moving the team President into an equivalent position, you make simultaneous announcements - that would have been the easiest way to handle moving BA out of football operations - but DS didn't so I doubt there is a reason to expect a change in the off season.
I see your point but I'm not sure there's that much to read into that... and I want to have hope change is coming :D

Fuck cleaning this house. Demo this fucking house. Demo it and haul it away. I literally would not give two fucks if they moved the team to Alaska. I would actually welcome it at this point. Put me out of my misery and pull the plug.

I really wouldn’t mind cleaning house and starting over. Keeping the pieces that are untouchables - TW, AP, Kerrigan, Scherff, Allen and Payne and then really just starting over again. Every year people say “we’re close” but in reality, I think we’re pretty damn far.

We will see in the next few days. How much time do you give before it's clear he's staying. New Year's Day? the 2nd? How does it help the team structure to wait to change your front office if you know you are going to.

Re: Time to clean house 1.0.

Just watched Jay's post game press podium speech... He was giving excuse after excuse on top of excuses with a little extra excuses on the side.

What makes me anxious is that for a guy that usually looks nervous on the podium he seemed quite relaxed, he was talking about next season and how he feels the personnel can compete if healthy... Didn't detect a lot of doubt about his job security...

Best is to wait and see but I hope we'll learn something soon. Very. Soon. Like in 10 seconds would be my perfect timing.

What draft pick do they have? There are 4 teams that are 7-9.... is there a formula to break the ties?

The #Redskins have missed the playoffs in 21 of the last 26 seasons.

They've missed the playoffs in 15 of 20 seasons under Dan Snyder's ownership.

They've missed the postseason in 7 of 9 full seasons of Bruce Allen's tenure.

walking away at what the Vikings paid is fine, but it should not have come to that so no credit for anything.

Definitely no credit for Allen regarding Cousins, not when he should have traded him once the 2nd tag went down

They have a pretty loaded team and to not make the playoffs is ridiculous. If the Vikes don't turn it around next season, they are pretty screwed with Cousin's contract. Because they cannot cut tides, nor can they trade him.

Biggest mistake of this team was to not get rid of him when there was a market for a trade.

Yea to get nothing for Cousins then factor in what we had to give up in the Alex deal plus the 4th Rd for Ha Ha .. dang I get depressed thinking about all the drama that goes on here..the way they handled Scott whew... hard to make excuses for this owner! It’s all on him every single thing is on him !! Empty stadium shows fans are sick and if nothing is done to bring in some new highly respected football people here I would say we are doomed to become the worst in league.. my only positive is how the hell did this team win 7 games??

A somewhat healthy team with Alex Smith won 6 out of those 7 games.

Snyder had nothing to do with the Scot situation. That was all Jay and the Prince of Darkness.

The trade for HaHa was good at the time - we looked to be a contender. There’s really not much difference in picks rounds 4-7, so it won’t hurt us that badly.

Also, the team won 6 of those 7 games because Alex smith played unimpressive but mistake free football.

I'd be okay with keeping Jay ONLY if Bruce is gone completely from the team. Although, two of my biggest issues with Jay is letting loyalty to players get in a the way of meritocracy and/or common sense (Luvao, Mo Harris, Marshall) and his selection of the last two Def Coordinators. Although with the latter, I'd be willing to give him a chance sans Bruce.

I keep hearing about how Callahan's practices with the o-line are too intense. But no one has made anything out of it.

Re: Time to clean house 1.0.

Gruden is delusional. He said that " we can play with anyone when healthy." WTF is he talking about? You got blown out by the Saints, you got blown out by an average Falcons team and were not competitive against the Colts. You had your starting QB in those games and your defense intact.

It was mostly jay. They didn’t get along and jay wanted more power over player personnel. Scots regularly being drunk on the job was a nice excuse.
