I am too but I read the NFLPA conference call with the writers and their concerns make it seem like they are far from an agreement with the NFL so also a bit concerned they won’t get started |
Re: Offseason: Around the NFL
This may have been addressed and I missed it. Will we need to make changes to our profiles and screen names?
|
Re: Offseason: Around the NFL
I can’t get excited for the season. All the other sports got cases spreading and or players opting out. Have a feeling by week four it will be like the replacements.
|
Re: Offseason: Around the NFL
I don’t believe there will be a season .. the NFL is always saying how much they care about people and causes ... well start by protecting your players and families .they will try to have season but it’s gonna end and lawsuits galore ...

Who are the Giants paying, Beckham?
Who are the Giants paying, Beckham?
Beckham, Olivier Vernon, Snacks Harrison, and Janoris Jenkins. A lot of this dead money probably comes from the 2016 offseason when Jerry Reese went on a shopping spree and spent $106 mil in guaranteed money in free agency. |

Are any of our rookies signed yet?

Odd -- I cant find anything on whether the Skins have signed any of their 2020 draft picks. We did sign our UDFAs like TE Thaddeus Moss. Redskins transaction tracker has nothing for our drafted rookies. Are we waiting to see if there isnt a season so we dont have to pay them? https://www.redskins.com/team/transactions/2020 Looks like about 40% of the 1st rounders in the NFL have signed. Highest being Lions cb Okudah 33.5M over 4 yrs. That should give us a ball park for Chase. https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/2020-nfl-draft-signing-tracker-for-first-round-picks-contract-details-for-top-32-picks-as-theyre/ |
Re: Offseason: Around the NFL
Are any of our rookies signed yet?
I searched our Rotoworld team page back to January. None yet. They always detail all signings, so they'd be in there if we had. Saw this fun snippet: Jan 19, 1970, 4:19 AM ET ANTONIO GIBSON WR, WASHINGTON Redskins coach Ron Rivera said RB/WR Antonio Gibson has "a skill set like Christian (McCaffrey)." "He's a little bit bigger than Christian, but he's got a skill set like Christian," said Rivera, who obviously coached McCaffrey for two seasons. "This is a very versatile, young football player that we really think is going to be a guy that can get on the field for us early and contribute." Gibson was designated as a wide receiver when selected with the No. 66 overall pick but has since been discussed as a running back who will align all over (including in the slot and out wide) Washington's formation. Arguably the most efficient player in the nation (15.6 yards per touch) last year, it sounds as if the team's coaching staff is completely on board in utilizing Gibson's versatility after he led all FBS skill players in yards after contact per attempt (8.0) with the Tigers last year. |

We are one of 5 teams that have not signed any of their draft picks. This link shows all the teams, and signed/unsigned picks. https://nfltraderumors.co/2020-nfl-draft-pick-signings-tracker/ With all the front office turmoil, I don't know that it is completely surprising, but seems they need to get it done at this point. |

Yeah those happened fast. Good to get those weapons signed. Will Charles have a shot to start? He is first round talent.

He sure has talent. I'm not sure he's ready to start in the NFL right now though. Hand technique needs improvement IMO. |

Oh geez, it's not over. Never over with this guy.

This is now the third time in the last calendar year that the 32-year-old free agent has not only hung up his cleats, but quickly taken them down hours later. We would expect him to lace them back up for either the Seahawks, Buccaneers, or Washington the moment the league hands down a decision stemming from his recent legal issues. Brown remains a confident selection in Best-Ball leagues since he offers a ceiling others in his range can only dream of. Re: Offseason: Around the NFL
I don't want him, but it's been a rumor that hasn't gone away. Haskins working out with him probably sparked it but he's also been working out with OBJ and there's no chance we're going after him. Dwayne's just a popular guy.

Re: Offseason: Around the NFL
In the grand scheme of things, it's really not that big of a deal to wear a damn mask. Is it a pain in the ass? Yes.
I walked into a San Diego grocery store last week and forgot it. The security guard stopped me and I had to walk a block back to my condo to get it. Did I make a big deal about it? Nope. I was pissed at myself for forgetting it.. lol. It's the world we live in today so people just need to deal with it. I wish baseball would let people into the games, like the NFL is doing. Mask is required. What is the big deal? |

Or states that have quarantine rules for people travelling from hot spot states. Toronto Blue Jays have to find a new home in the US bc any team travelling to Canada would need to quarantine and thats impossible. We are getting there. We have live meaningful baseball tonight. Ill take that. First step to normal is being taken tonight. |
Re: Offseason: Around the NFL
The Blue Jays are most likely coming to Buffalo, it's a crazy mess with all of this. The NFL just needs to say no fans

My thinking too. Adams is talented, but considering the fact he clearly wanted out, I say the Jets got great value back! And they're getting a potential decent starter. |

And they're getting a potential decent starter.
This is really a boom-or-bust deal for Seattle. The Jets got a fantastic haul back, they just need to make sure they hit on those draft picks. If Jamal Adams can handle the demands Seattle puts on their safeties, it works out on both ends. If he can't handle it then the Jets fleeced Seattle. |
