That shit should be in the stadium with like Wiz Khalifa and some country band doing a free show, free food .... yeah it could cost Snyder but this team needs to go above and beyond or not do anything. get Budweiser and some sponsors involved .. maybe do a big food truck thing

I know I am jaded and cynical but the 2-4 event feels like a reaction to the sentiment of launching the name in NYC. You have shirts made up saying 020222. Players wearing them. Then 10 days later you say oh and we will have a blast for our fans on 2-4-22.

No matter what one thinks of the name change, it was done under duress and so not the greatest look for a franchise. Especially one with a long record of bad looks.

Seems to me an owner who had to be forced to change a name and is under more scrutiny than ever for various transgressions might just want to be a little more subtle and modest about this.

But hey, that's just me and 21st Century Hype is just that.

I just noticed that on the teams website for the video “making the brand” episode 3, it refers to “the people’s team.” Honestly, that would really be terrible. The people have been leaving this team in droves for the last 20+ years (except for idiots like us) and it’s an obvious, bad facsimile for America’s team (which is also presumptuous and easily hated). Please don’t do this - whatever the name and logo, don’t do this.

i honestly dont think any name change can hold up to the redskins namesake that they have had for years. im personally hoping for warthogs...but i know thats not gonna happen. dont like commanders, and any form of wolves or redwolves is whack. ill keep following the team....but i dont think any name change is going to go over well at all. its too divisive.
my main choice isnt going to happen.........so now i just wait to buy my new hat for whatever dumb decision they make.
