You saying that hit on TH was a bad call? Hell no it wasn't. That dude could have stopped and didn't. That was the correct call and a good one at that. That was the Eagles just being fucking stupid.
The funny part is he got hit twice after he kneeled, when Riddick hit him I can let it go as bang bang but Graham had 3 to 4 steps to stop himself, Graham was still on two feet when Heineke gave himself up.
We will have to disagree. That was an awkward play. Don't see too many plays where a QB rolls out then randomly just takes a knee like that.
Whether it was awkward or not, you said he was a clown for celebrating the play. He was celebrating because he knew Graham had mucked up and gave Washington the win.

Great play !!! We have lost so many games to BS calls … that Penalty against Dodson was a horrible call .. get used to crap calls because the refs suck … we got a win and I don’t care how we did it !!

It’s like running into the kicker. It doesn’t matter whether in his heart he was trying not to hurt the target.

How many games have we lost due to questionable calls and having brain farts?
Good to be on the winning end of that.

We gave them 7 early, we won the first half. We came out in the second half and stopped them. We took it down to the 5 and Turner went full Turner. Two terrible play calls. Rest of the game was just bizarre. I don’t ever blame the refs when we lose, and I wont blame em when we win. We made plays when we had to. Heineken was not good but Wentz isn’t getting back on the field healthy or not. Best I can hope from this game is that it sparks confidence and we go on a run. But I wont deny the problems even in a win and Quarterback is one of em.

Exactly, we've seen people celebrate plays like that all the time, and that isnt the first time we've seen a QB give themselves up on a play

Re: Mannies v. Eagles GameNight Thread

Wentz is done here. He's not getting his job back. It's not that Taylor is a good QB, but he does two things that Wentz can't. He can extend plays and he gets the ball to #17.

It was definitely the right call, and every football talking head has said as much. Some have said that they don't like it at that point of the game, but I don't know how you can call it in the 1st quarter and not call it in the 4th quarter. Everybody talks about the referees and consistency, but then they don't want consistency in certain moments. It's BS.

Brandon Graham was 5 yards away from Heineke when he kneeled down. He took 2.9 more steps and hit him 2 seconds later. I don't know what the discussion is. It was unnecessary roughness. I've seen a lot less called.

News Flash for all NFL defensive players...The NFL is going to protect the QB.

I counted 2.7 steps. [emoji13]

Point is refs blew up once he went down. Regardless of the rule on QBs if you make heavy contact that late on a defenceless player you're going to get flagged. He didn't do enough to avoid contact hence the flag. Thems the rules.

Yeah no brainer of a call these days, don’t get the fuss over it, we’ve definitely seen much worse calls

I'm not arguing that it wasn't a penalty. But I would be so effing pissed off if we lost because of that, so when we win by the same token, it also takes a little of the shine off for me personally. I'm still glad we won. Better than the alternative.

We'll just agree to disagree. It just looked like a very weak call, especially for that time of the game. I think if it was the other way around we'd all be pretty upset.

But I think we got some calls that went our way. The ref who missed the Davis facemask was standing right in front of that tackle and for whatever reason didn't call it. That was such an egregious facemask plus it was a turnover. The ball should've went back to Philly plus 15. We got some breaks go our way last night no doubt.

Yep we got some breaks .. but the interception last week that we got and scored that would have ended game was a iffy call .. the Dodson call last night was iffy ..factor in the fact we dominated most of the First half it was a great win !

I agree, it wasn't a perfectly officiated game. We got some calls, and they got some calls. Graham didn't blow Heinicke up, but he also didn't have to touch him at all...let alone knock him over.

Either way, to go in there on Monday night and knock them off their high horse was impressive, and it wasn't a result of the officiating. They were simply outplayed.

Graham took nearly 3 full steps before running into him. You can’t breathe on QBs anymore of course that was going to get called.

As you should be pissed because it was a boneheaded play. Graham had plenty of time to stop and he didn't.

He really did take 3 full steps and then slid right into him, I dont see what people are saying about it was a bad call. I am convinced some of us just want to lose games so we can complain about it.

If its a foul in the first quarter, its a foul in the 4th quarter. Time of game shouldn't matter and we would be upset but not with the refs, we'd be mad at the player for taking 3 steps then sliding into a player who had given himself up already. We have been on the wrong side of stupidity like that just last week with Ridgeway on the FG. If someone is calling that a weak call, I genuinely don't know what they are looking at.

I've wondered the same. You'd be surprised (maybe you wouldn't) how some people are so comfortable living in a pessimistic state versus an optimistic view. It's their dopamine.
