Re: Vick conditionally reinstated by NFL (updated)

For 10 months work, Vick's lawyers are billing him for 8000 hours. Now, simple math - 10 months @ 30 days/month and 24 hours/day = 7200 hours.

Even with multiple lawyers working on the case, this is insane to me. Billing 8000 hours over a 7200 hour period takes some creative billing AND reminds me of a joke:

An attorney suddenly drops dead of a heart attack. He gets to heaven and complains to St. Peter - "I was in the peak of health. I exercised daily, watched my diet and saw my doctor regularly. Jeez - I was only 45!!" To which St. Peter responds: "45?!? According to your billable hours, you were 82."

I wonder how many sports pundits are going to be tripping over themselves to praise Darth Hoody if he indeed signs Vick.

I guess right now Boston sports fans are too busy paying attention to the whole Ortiz on steroids news. This would be a good time for the Dark Hooded One to sign Vick.

I heard JC make the comment that the first thing he see's when coming on the field today was......DC wants Vick. As he laughed, you have to wonder what is running through his mind.

I have to believe Dan, Vinny, & Zorn comments on this one, Vick WILL NOT be in DC, the end. Where he lands who knows?

I don't though why Zorn had to add "at this juncture" in his comment. I hope Vick doesn't come here. Strictly from a football perspective I don't think it makes sense. I'm sure they could make it work I suppose but overall I don't like it.

Why on ESPN's Insider's Football Rumors from today (July 31) do they headline "Momentum Builds for Vick to Skins" ??

Really... why? Anyone have access to Insider to share the writeup??

if the Skins do it - we will be pushing at JC and Snyder's an idiot
if the Patriots do it - true patriots giving a man a 2nd chance in the spirit of america. Bellichek is a genius.

I don't want it to happen, but media bias is so played out.

Well the SKINS have stated there position clearly. I hope the remain true to word.

The only thing that sticks out in the Zorn presser is NO VICK at this juncture, I wasn't so sure how to read into that. I thought he meant not in the near future as in a year or so..? But who knows.

The Pats carry on! Great place for Vick, or anywhere but DC!

Again... does anyone have access to ESPN Insider that can explain why they say momentum is building for him to come to DC??
