Re: Your next QB for the Skins?
Well we don't have a 3rd rounder due to the Jarmon pick in the Supplemental draft. I'd like Bradford, McCoy, Locker, or even Clausen. Not sold on Pike's intangibles and the fact that he once became disinterested in football. That factor there would have him lose a tiebreaker to the aforementioned.
We desperately need to address the O-Line. Hopefully there is a new regime in place to make the decision on which direction to go at QB. If O-Line is addressed in the early rounds, Personally, I'd try to decide on the best young vet to give a second chance to while rebuilding. Those that come to mind are: (R. Grossman, K. Clemens, K. Boller, T. Jackson, D. Carr, J. Harrington). All are 2010 free agents and I'd bet that one of these current busts turns out to have a decent career. The task will be for the GM to identify which one. Lets pray that Vinny is not making this decision. If we draft a QB in round 1, we should attempt to sign an older vet, perhaps Charlie Batch or Jeff Garcia, depending which one fits the new coach's scheme. Also, all of the Colt Brennan apologists on this thread need to relax. Once we get a real coach in here Brennan will be released or beat out in camp. I have inside information that informed me that ONE of the FEW reasons Brennen was kept was the fact that his Jersey sales were much more favorable to Chase Daniel's. And yes that same person also told me that the sales had something to do with how female skins fans feel about Brennan's looks. This is a FOOTBALL TEAM not a FASHION MAGAZINE! Can't wait till the offseason! I truly believe that the owner will wise up and get some real people to run this team.
What other "inside info" might you like to share? |

This is the first year i've thought that too. There's just too much pressure coming from the outside. Those looking for a one year turn around are going to be disappointed. There are just too many holes. I mean, we are talking 2 or 3 full drafts or more to revamp this team and get some talent. Not, VC drafts either...good drafts. Hopefully our new FO can improve this area. We're looking at QB, 2 RB's, 2-3 OL, CB, WR-maybe. I wouldn't be opposed to a stop gap QB or JC while rebuilding. |
Bradford or pike and then get some ol help
QB is not going to make a difference until we put a competitive line together. We could trade for Brady but even he wouldn't make a difference with our line. Save the names for year after this coming offseason. |

jeff goerge is calling bingo

Re: Your next QB for the Skins?
You need a QB regardless. Even if JC stays in the fold, Collins might opt out and retire. Brennan is junk and should be discarded ASAP.
Peyton knows when to get rid of it, and he knows where all his wr's are at that very time. He's not afraid to let the ball fly after holding it for 1 second. I know it's a pipe dream, and I certainly have a man crush on peyton...but come on, you wouldn't give up all the picks next year for him? Especially knowing we will likely be uncapped?
Nope for the simple fact that he is going to take punishment and he is 34 years old. I would like us to get a potential young Peyton Manning so we can enjoy a nice stretch of good football. |
Isn't that what I said?
My bad, I read it as "he is the back up to Gretzkys' son right?" |

No worries |
Re: Your next QB for the Skins?
No...it's the other way around. Nick is the starter and Trevor Gretzky is the backup. Will Smith's son is also on that team though he hardly payed when I watched the game.
Well, theres some serious star power on that team......... |
Re: Your next QB for the Skins?
No way!!!!! He can't pass for shit! They're hyping him like he's going to be Montana special. Of course UDub has Nick Montana (son on Joe Montana) coming in next year. I watched him play 6 weeks or so ago against here against Skyline and he looked amazing (21 of 32 passes for 258 yards and three TDs).
Locker's numbers don't jump out at you this season and his two picks last week didn't help (but Oregon is on fire right now). Remember, this UW squad probably has the worst talent in the Pac-10 (aside from Wazzou) and they were coming off a 15 game losing streak before this year. I've seen a shorter delivery and improved field vision this season, with his work with Steve Clarkson (one of the best QB coaches out there). Pete Carroll says he's the best QB he's ever faced at SC... that includes Aaron Rodgers, Dennis Dixon and Vince Young. Unlike Tebow, I think he's more than a glorified full-back... and he'll have a better pro career, imo. |
Re: Your next QB for the Skins?
Use your draft picks for the offense line, forget drafting the QB for right now.
Pick up a vetran who has not yet started, Eric Anige of the Jets, would be a possible fit for WC offense. |
