Re: 2010 NFL Off-Season Rumors and Reports (Week 3)
per adam schefter-Arizona gave LB Joey Porter a three-year, $17.5 million contract, with a max value of $24.5 million. Porter strikes again

^ I'm glad that we didn't pay that.

The news I was waiting for never came, but have been told it has nothing to do with the team. I think its about another college football game at fedex |
Re: 2010 NFL Off-Season Rumors and Reports (Week 3)
I thought it was the "big" news about the draft party being held there?

why? |

i think the news was new practice fields.
why?
about $6 mil. /year for Porter seems too rich. In Miami his game had gone into somewhat of a decline and, given his age, his play is unlikely to get better. I think it is good for the team's culture if we do not overpay folks and I think Ariz. overpaid Porter. |
Re: 2010 NFL Off-Season Rumors and Reports (Week 3)
i gotta give some credit to the new men in town (shanny and bruce) seems to me like they want to sign players that are hungry and just want to play some football. no longer is washington the destination of a player who is going from team to team just looking for the highest contract.

Unfortunately, that's what free-agency has done to the game of football. Rent a player has spiralled out of control, and it's definitely a good thing to see the Reskins exercising good judgement. |
Re: 2010 NFL Off-Season Rumors and Reports (Week 3)
It has been fairly quiet during the FA period but I got a feeling that it will be pretty active during the draft with some trades. I expect Carter, Landry and possibly Moss saying goodbye. I would love to get Golden Tate somehow.

Re: 2010 NFL Off-Season Rumors and Reports (Week 3)
ya I would have given porter like 2 million a year max, not 6 million a year.
