Re: Official Wild Card Game Thread: Redskins vs. Seahawks
Seattle's D was just too much at first. Great game Laron. Lets hope we can build on this and get home field advantage next year.

Re: Official Wild Card Game Thread: Redskins vs. Seahawks
Collins played a great game considering the rush he faced. I thought the Skins WRs and Sellers just had too many dropped balls & mistakes. But hey, it was fun while it lasted.
Tru dat Irish. Catches instead of drops = many more opportunities on offense, especially during the first half. |
Re: Official Wild Card Game Thread: Redskins vs. Seahawks
Collins played great till this point. With that last INT he looked like a back up
|
Re: Official Wild Card Game Thread: Redskins vs. Seahawks
We just won't be able to beat good teams with a single one of those interior linemen playing for us next season.
The tackle situation is pretty good, and Randy Thomas' return will fix one of the huge holes on the offensive line, but this offseason better yield a guard and a center. |

Yep, the early three dropped passes could have changed the momentum early on. Both Cooley and Moss share blame there, but overall considering what this team had to overcome, I cannot be more proud of them and their coaching staff. I called for a 9-7 record and did not expect even that after everything that transpired. I'm very very thankful for the 'Skins making it this far! Hail to the Redskins |

Re: Official Wild Card Game Thread: Redskins vs. Seahawks
I think the guys played as hard as they could. I think they finally ran outta gas, and things just fell apart. We could've won this game, but hey, stuff happens. I very proud of this team. I think they could've easily given up, but they went above and beyond all of our expectations. Thank you Redskins. Thank you Joe Gibbs. Thank you Sean Taylor.

That didn't help...but the whole first half effort killed the game... they just came out of the gate flat... Jamaican's right... they ran out of gas... |

Maybe Sellers not knowing where to line up and killing the drive's momentum cost the Skins a TD. Then his stupid block on the kick return costing the team valuable field position. Maybe Sellers can sit with SS in the losers section of the plane. |
Re: Official Wild Card Game Thread: Redskins vs. Seahawks
The Refs fucken cheated. That is all I know.

I'm just tired of losing games that we should without a doubt win.

That block in the back was iffy to me...the only other thing he could have done was to stop running forward...Suisham is the only GOAT in my opinion...can we say "Zendehas?" |
Re: Official Wild Card Game Thread: Redskins vs. Seahawks
we killed ourselves here. couldnt score after getting the ball on the kickoff, couldnt convert short yardage to save our lives, couldnt protect the quarterback, couldnt run the ball. seahawks front 7 dominated us and we got punished

No way was this a without a doubt winnable game. Seattle is something like 35-4 at home over the last 5 seasons. Thats pretty good. The Skins needed to play a great game to win and the O line and WRs just were not up to the task. |
The Refs fucken cheated. That is all I know.
Hate the rule if you want but the kicking team can't advance the ball unless the receiving team controls it first. No Seahawk touched the ball. There were some minor iffy calls going both ways (the missed holding call on the Hawks first TD) but nothing game changing. |
Re: Official Wild Card Game Thread: Redskins vs. Seahawks
to all the people saying dont freak out and its been a god season i agree wut half of that man that game was ours that was fckd uo we did not close, which means to me this teamis not ready to win a championship and there was a couple throws by collins were if campbell threw it it woulda been a td on arm alone like the moss play we gave that game away let th crowd taek us out of it man im MAD dissapointed as well as everyone shoudf be...

Re: Official Wild Card Game Thread: Redskins vs. Seahawks
Eh... that sucks. But I'll live. This year has been a real challenge, with all of the injuries and ST's death. I think that the team defnitely came together over the last year and I am definitely looking forward to next season. LL played inspired ball in the 4th quarter. TC is a thousand times better than any of us thought he was this time last year. Next up for Redskins fans- Obsessing about the draft!

Re: Official Wild Card Game Thread: Redskins vs. Seahawks
Tremendous season given the circumstances. I predicted 7-9 so I am thrilled.
However, I am very disappointed (and drunk) right now. Suisham's miss was a momentum killer and worthy of him getting cut. |

Horrible grammar notwithstanding, I do think that one potential silver lining to the loss is that it highlighted both Todd Collins' strengths and weaknesses. His decision making was obviously a plus during this run, and he made some nice hot reads tonight, especially in the 2nd half. We also saw, however, that the guy lacks some of the physical tools that you would ideally like to see in your starter (namely arm strength and mobility). I suspect most on this site at least would agree, but tonight showed, I think, that Jason Campbell is the future and there should not be any QB controversy next year. In the end, can't be too mad. They fought back, had a chance to go in and go up 8 points, couldn't finish, but fought hard until the end. The two ints returned for TDs were extremely unfortunate and really skewed the final score (obviously). Green Bay will finish off Seattle next week. |

It's over and it sux,but damn sure can't dwell on this. For me now I just hope the Pats get beat.

dunno if this has been stated but 21 is with us even in a loss i know even though we didnt come out on the winning end we lost by 21.
God Bless you Sean.. |

Take care of the Seahawks? LOL Shut all of our Cowgirl mouths? LMAO! So much being "hot" going into the playoffs. I guess records do matter. I guess it does matter what you did ALL SEASON LONG. It's ok skinheads, you can all root for whoever plays the Boys in the Super Bowl.

I dunno here... Seattle looks like a totally mediocre team apart from its front 7 on defense. They only played two or three winning teams all season and got beat (asses handed to them by the Steelers). They are above average at home w/ the crowd factored in but honestly any one of the AFC playoff teams would destroy Seattle by double digits (and maybe shut them out entirely as Pitt did). Dallas or GB would have not trouble w/ Seattle either IMO. This was a game we lost, not a game they won. |
