Because our plane of high hopes plowed into the ground tonight.
I'm not totally demoralized because I thought we'd have serious trouble against this D, but I think there are going to be a lot of people in a state of total shock tomorrow morning.
The loss to the Rams was a shock, but I can't say that losing to the Steelers is shocking or a surprise. |
Re: Redskins vs. Steelers Gameday thread
I guess this really isn't surprising - Pittsburgh is a good team with a nasty defense, and we're seeing what it's like to the #1 defense in the league.
I don't care how much I expected it or how not surprising it is, losing never feels good, I don't care what kind of losing it is. |

skins need two weeks of intense practices if they want a chance to win the division.they look like shit tonight.

I agree...but thats exactly why you can't lose to teams you're better than like St. Louis. |
Re: Redskins vs. Steelers Gameday thread
Rogers is turning into a very good player, but damn he has the worst hands I have ever seen for an elite athlete like that. He should just soak his his hands in glue before the game.

No, but up to this point it has been very ugly. |

You have got to be kidding me.

Re: Redskins vs. Steelers Gameday thread
a TD will just drive the knife in deeper...

Re: Redskins vs. Steelers Gameday thread
Leftwich just looks hot...
He has dropped a lot of game changers in the past. :FIREdevil
Rogers dropped sure pick-6 INTS against Seatle in the 2005 playoffs and against the Giants in the opener. BTW, Leftwich has been downright impressive.

I do think the D is taking this personally

Things would be much better if we had won against the Rams, this game would have meant very little. Oh well...here's the same story again...we'll win some games at the end of the season, get the 6th seed and lose in the first round..or who knows if we'll make the playoffs. Well at least this means Obama is going to win. |
Re: Redskins vs. Steelers Gameday thread
Honestly one game does'nt make or break a season these guys are all tired and worn out 6-3 I'll take it. We need the bye bad and Obama's gonna win we can't compete with that. But oh jesus this thing might be reversed if Los held on. Oh well bring on the cowgirls.

Re: Redskins vs. Steelers Gameday thread
stop the fucking blitzing!

Re: Redskins vs. Steelers Gameday thread
Ballgame.
|
Re: Redskins vs. Steelers Gameday thread
Game over.
|
Re: Redskins vs. Steelers Gameday thread
Wow. We're getting blown out. 23 unanswered in our house. That's bad folks. Really friggin bad.

Yep, I remember that game and that would have changed that playoff game also. Another pass at Rogers. :) |

23-16 so far. I'll hang my head for a day or two. |

We should be very proud of our team, especially seeing how Zorn is a rookie head coach. However, our inability to pound on teams like St. Louis, Cleveland and Detroit and getting absolutely blasted by a good team at home indicates we are not an elite team. We're an above-average team that isn't quite there yet. |
Re: Redskins vs. Steelers Gameday thread
Skins need to score a touchdown fast

No this year seattle won't make the playoffs so we have a shot to move on. |

So, the score will look better? |
Re: Redskins vs. Steelers Gameday thread
What a freaking disaster.
|
Re: Redskins vs. Steelers Gameday thread
They converted a lot of 3rd downs on that drive. Byron is looking better than Big Ben, IMO.
Let's get a friggin drive, for our psyche. |

Like I said, only if we had beaten the Rams. Now the Giants are running away with the division. Now where are those wonderful fans who thought "hating the Cowboys" was more important than keeping the division leader within a few games? |

Pretty much sums it up. We've played some really good games, some really bad games, and played a whole bunch of really close ones that could've gone either way. I'm thinking we end up with 10 wins and a wildcard spot. Nothing to be ashamed of I suppose. |
Re: Redskins vs. Steelers Gameday thread
I can't fucking belive we can't stop pittsburghs offense with leftwich, They really are beat to hell.
|
Re: Redskins vs. Steelers Gameday thread
Need a score (any kind) on this drive, or its basically over.
|
Re: Redskins vs. Steelers Gameday thread
I think the coaching is a biggest issue tonight, but I could be wrong.
|
Re: Redskins vs. Steelers Gameday thread
If we lose we lose, it just wasn't in the cards. Also, don't be surprised if we lose to the Cowboys after the bye week. I want to see how many people are going to start jumping off the bandwagon and who will still believe.
|
Re: Redskins vs. Steelers Gameday thread
We better at least score again.
|
Re: Redskins vs. Steelers Gameday thread
Whats most disappointing, is yet again on the national stage, we just look like pretenders. I thought this score would be reversed.
|
Re: Redskins vs. Steelers Gameday thread
Still a lot of football to go in the season folks. Let's not get too carried away over one game.

17 points in 12 minutes against the Steelers D is like asking to hit the Powerball. |
Re: Redskins vs. Steelers Gameday thread
I hope this serves as a wakeup call that coasting against lesser teams will not prepare us to compete against elite teams. Nor will it help against desperate teams (Dallas up next). Pittsburgh is flat out a more physical team than we are.

Re: Redskins vs. Steelers Gameday thread
What's our T.O.P. on offense? 5 minutes? Back to the drawing board.
