TH already has had 2 fumbles in training camp. Sample size is small but you hope this isnt a trend...
Hopefully just working out the kinks with new QBs handing off to him. But something to keep an eye on for sure. |

Awesome -- I was tired of hearing how the Redskins had signed an 'exiled/stranded' punter |

That was a concern as he was being signed. I hope he doesnt become heartbreaker in the red zone. |
Re: Training camp 2011 thread
I was going to suggest he book flight to Mexico and walk across the border there....not sure anybody is watching

Put an extra shrimp on the barbie. We finally have our punter. |

Does anyone think that maybe Laron is sitting out of camp just so he can miss training camp, and that his Achilles is fine?

He seems to be itching to get out there... Doesn't seem like something he would do at all. |
Re: Training camp 2011 thread
I think he's still rehabbing a bit and taking things slow. It's a long season, so I'd much rather him get healed up and ready to go.
Would anyone be surprised if we fielded a top 10 defense this year? |
Re: Training camp 2011 thread
What's up with Jammal Brown?
There is no sign of right tackle Jammal Brown, who on Sunday signed a five-year, $27.5 million contract. Also not in sight is undrafted free agent linebacker Kyle O’Donnell, a Liberty University product. I don't see why fans root for one side over the over. It's a win win. If the offense has a bad day, that meant the defense had a good day. If the defense had a bad day, it means the offense had a good one. There's a winner on every play lol. |
Re: Training camp 2011 thread
In defense of Hightower's, fumbling problem, (saw it once), his fumbles at today's camp can be corrected. He fumbled once when I was watching, but I think his fumbling is a bit overstated. He's a hard runner, who fights for every yard, so it's gonna happen, it's football. From what I saw, Hightower has a little bit of everything (vision, power, deceptive speed, and patience to find the hole). And He's DURABLE...can't say about Torain. Rather have a RB who can at least contribute, than a glass made RB who can never stay healthy.

See why there are those who would like to see training camp far removed from some of these local idiots. Not all...but some of them only serve as distractions. |

I doubt that very much, like Matty said, Landry is itching to play.. I went to training camp yesterday, saw Landry doing some exercises. Really I don't believe we need to worry about him, he will be fine.. He's tough as nail |

I think he said he was tearing up watching practice. Dude loves to ball. He's not a faker. |

Henson- PUP O'Donell- Active Does this mean we have only one active slot left now? |

^ I like. "19. One early observation and I’m not sure it’s completely accurate, but it seems as if the inside linebackers are able to run more freely to the ball in practice. The D-line might not be the NFL’s best, but if they can at least be effective, then this should continue."

No doubt, Rich Campbell too, though more so last year, but camps did just start.. from 2 of the less likely papers |
Re: Training camp 2011 thread
I have not heard one bad thing about Jarvis Jenkins so far in training camp, cant wait to see him in the first preseason game

Re: Training camp 2011 thread
i'd hope two big money free agents and a 2nd round pick for 3 DL spots would open up some room for our LBs... that kinda seems like a keen grasp of the obvious, but i guess it's better than hearing that those guys are junking it up.
|
Re: Training camp 2011 thread
im excited to see how our rookies do this year. particularly helu, jenkins, hankerson & (hopefully) neild. i think they all have some real potential.
i hope royster makes the practice squad as well with helu, hightower & torain as our backs. |
Re: Training camp 2011 thread
Good write up. Looks like the team has its ups and downs. Understandable given how young we are and having no OTAs and what not. My what's up with Hightower's fumbilitis? I hope he corrects that soon.
