Re: 2011 NFL Free Agency-Part 3
so their going to trade Asante Samuel now? Yeah I like the move to get NA alot less.
|
Re: 2011 NFL Free Agency-Part 3
I wouldnt even give one 2nd rounder.
|
Re: 2011 NFL Free Agency-Part 3
I wouldn't trade with the eagles again, but I would like Asante, he'd be better than any of our corners.

Re: 2011 NFL Free Agency-Part 3
Looks like Devin Thomas and Malcolm Kelly were not the only WR busts from the second round of 2008. Limas Sweed is looking for a job.
So the Jets have offered Maybin a one year deal? Couldn't they have just stuck with Gholston?
The Jets are probably rolling the dice to see if Maybin can be slavaged. I think the Jets saw enough of Gholston over the two years of Rex Ryan's tenure to know he was not going to work out for them. By the way, the next sack that Gholston records will be his first... |
If anyone gives up 2 2nd rounders for Asante they must be insane! I'd rather have Los then Asante. La!
Perhaps 2 second rounnd picks is too high a price to acquire Asante Samuel. However, if there were a dispersal draft and you wanted a CB and both Samuel and Carlos Rogers were on the board, would you TRULY take Rogers? :confused- |

So what is it? Orakpo 18.5 - Maybin 0? Very questionable management in Buffalo. I realize they have trouble attracting FA's due to their location but the draft picks are the ones that bother me the most. |

Very questionable management in Buffalo. I realize they have trouble attracting FA's due to their location but the draft picks are the ones that bother me the most.
Buffalo has drafted horrifically since the middle of the decade. It's frightening really. The Redskins still lack young potential superstars at most levels of the team but they've done twice as much in the draft as Buffalo has with half as many picks. The Bills have actually done quite well building their team through other means though. Fitzpatrick. Jackson. The guy who is going to be their no. 2 this year (his name escapes me). Florence. George Wilson. Merriman. That's a good amount of talent they have there (more than us, methinks) with some of the most inept drafting I've ever seen in my life. Maybin over Orakpo was a marketing-driven decision on draft day, taking the guy who played college ball locally over the better player. |

That's bonkers. $50M guaranteed for a WR? That's an overpay, even for a bad ass WR like L-Fitz. Good for him, though. Good guy, hard worker, monster player. I imagine they could have gotten him for cheaper though. On a side note, the Cards obviously feel like he and Kolb are the present and future of their team. |
