I heard that Chad Johnson changed his name back to Johnson. After a dismal year in New England you just knew that he would alter something about himself. |

Same with Tiki Barber, Larry Johnson and every other old RB who tries to come back when they need cash. I hope Portis is smarter so he doesn't embarrass himself. I heard an interview this weekend. He seems content with his career being over. |

Geesh. Does EVERYTHING have to be twisted into racism? I though this President made us a post-racial society...he said so! Look at a Silverback Gorilla....a huge, muscular, feared beast who can't be taken down. It's a comparison any lineman would want, no matter his skin color. I never once called Willliams this with any hint of racism or thought of his skin color on my mind. I think Thompson is buying into the Jackson/Sharpton "cry racism for 15 minutes of attention" tactic. I thought he was better than that. |

Re: Around the NFL...Offseason Style
Of course the ages of the two will cause them to see it differently, but Thompson is the one who publicly brought up the racial accusations against "white folks".
Where have I heard that before? Oh yeah, "White folds greed runs a world in need..." |

The Jets announced Monday that Landry is one of four players they have placed on the physically-unable-to-perform list as they prepare to head up to Cortland for camp. |
bust city, horrible pick. Vinny had his hand in that one too
I feel like if only Sean Taylor wasn't murdered, Landry's career could have been different...
I believe Portis, Moss, and Williams; that ST turned his life around because of his daughter. If Landry could have kept Taylor as a teammate, instead of a set of shoes impossible to fill... If Landry and Taylor could have stayed Area 51, one of the best (and the most feared) safety tandems in the NFL, instead of just Landry trying to play Cover 1 running sideline to sideline by himself... Yeah Landry's still the same guy with the same faults, but I think having Taylor around would have helped. Not that this is important compared to a life lost, just saying... Re: Around the NFL...Offseason Style
Yep, when LL was drafted I was pumped to see him play along side ST. That would have worked and been a great duo. That is why LL didn't work. He never had a great fs next to him. With those two side by side though it would have been a whole different ball game. ST could make a player like ll look that much better. I really think losing him had a long lasting effect on this organization and really we are just seeing the team come back now. He was a huge loss to our team and it's whole makeup. He made guys better on both sides of the ball with the way he approached the game.

For those saying if ST was still around LL would have been better. I never knew ST was a doctor too? LL's biggest problem is his health. When he was fully health like in McNabb's first year here; LL tore it up until he got hurt.

LaRon Landry was just a rookie when Taylor was killed. Still, he was never the same player without Sean Taylor in the defensive backfield with him. LaRon did play well in 2010 before his injury, but after spending two years straight on IR the coaches wanted him to have surgery. Something he refused to do. They weren't going to gamble with him. So, they let him go. Intelligent move. |

Jerra didnt have to. If she wants to continue being subsidized by her son's athletic ability, she should try to not to attack his income at it's source(his ability to get paid as a football player). |
