Alec Ogletree rookie LB for the Rams looks awesome.

Sanchez playing in the 4th during garbage time. Hilarious.

EAGLES D got shredded tonight. By JAX lol

JoeRedskin 08-24-2013 11:14 PM

Just watched Rex's post game conference ... wow just wow.
Asked why he put his nominal starter in during the 4th "hey, we are trying to compete, we are trying to win". Next question "Well, if that's true, why was Sanchez the ONLY starter in the game?"
"Uhhhh ...."

Wow. Ryan is just such a f'ing clown. He also had a mini- podium melt down moment. It is point and laugh time.

He should stick to being a defensive coordinator like his bro, even his daddy was a crappy HC. Hell! The Ryan's are over rated as DC's too.

I think you're being reaaaaaal generous there.

Revis revenge game Week one, L.
Week 2 Pats will roll over Ryan's face as usual.

He just needs to go back to coaching D like Wade Phillips did.

JoeRedskin 08-25-2013 10:22 AM

It's almost as funny as Rex's post-game presser.

Rex is clearly feeling the heat.

Not a good sign when you're melting down in a preseason presser.

Re: Around the NFL 2013 Offseason (Episode 99)

Im still confused as to why they kept him. They wont even let him choose his starting QB and we have seen with Jerruh what a front office making coaching decisions does to a team. Other than holding onto him for one more year knowing that they couldnt make many improvements. Just trying to be kind to their new HC instead of shackling him this year, I dont see a reason to keep him.

Jets and the Raiders screwed up in the draft, Matt Barkley was available instead they passed and got Geno Smith and Tyler Wilson. I think Barkley is lot better than those 2.

Rex Ryan was such a ****ing idiot to put Sanchez in their with the 3rd string OL.

LOL@ those Jets fans screaming for Geno Smith. Well, be careful what you ask for, you just may get it.

Re: Around the NFL 2013 Offseason (Episode 99)

I just saw Ryan's press conference. What an idiot!

That said, why is Coughlin icing kickers in OT of a preseason game. When was the last PS game to even go into OT, I really thought every coach tries to avoid it any way possible.

And final thought, the Jets ought to put the Simms kid in first in their last game. Another Simms QB leading a NY franchise, that would generate positive press.

Matt barkley has No arm at all and usc QBs suck in the NFL.

Re: Around the NFL 2013 Offseason (Episode 99)

I don't think any teams 'blew it' in terms of passing up these QBs. This draft had no good QBs in my opinion. It was last year where there was endless starting caliber QBs.

skinsfaninok 08-25-2013 01:32 PM

Yeah I think Buffalo will regret Manuel but he's probably the best out of the bunch this year. Bill parcells always said " some guys just dont pass the eye test "
Meaning some just don't look like good players and none of these QBs this draft did.

We'll see who has a longer career from the QB's drafted this year, I bet Barkley last longer and has a better career than Smith and Manuel.

Here's another awesome QB available for Rex:

JoeRedskin 08-25-2013 04:37 PM

See, people blast sexy Rexy but there are teams he would be the clear 2nd string. Buffalo is trying out Beck and Lienart as potential QB who may have to start day 1. John Beck.

Woody Johnson probably didn't want to pay him so that's probably why he's still around. He's as good as gone after this year.

Jets, raiders, bills, jags, are No doubt the bottom 4 teams. And all have the same problem, NO QB play at all.

I remember a few skins fans mad that we traded down and didnt grab Gabbert. So glad that we have Kerrigan instead. We grab him and we dont trade for RG3 since that was only the one year later. We would still be thinking he needed time to develop. Would have been locked into another decade of losing.

skinsfaninok 08-25-2013 05:34 PM

And we were also rumored to have serious interest in Sanchez as well. Yes we would still be miserable

I would hardly call that a meltdown. Those reporters are so damn annoying asking the same questions over and over again. I don't blame him for getting short with that crap. Jim Mora? Denny Green? Now those were meltdowns.

For Rex who normally stays pretty composed, I'd call it a meltdown. Especially considering it was after a preseason game.

If you don't want to be asked the same question then answer the question asked. He gave a BS answer to a legit question and got rightly roasted.

When it comes to Sanchez, the boneheaded thing to do would be to start him. Garbage time was made for QB's like Sanchez.

Not when he's at worst your #2. I agree he sucks but he still had no business being in the game at that time.

I understand your point, but when your number 2 is that bad, just sign a retread and get on with it. It means very little, probably nothing, to the Jets in terms of wins if Sanchez is healthy or not. Sanchez is only on the team for 1 reason. Because his salary is fully guaranteed this season.

I definitely agree.

But since they're stuck with him, they should still handle their biz. Opening him up to injury was just dumb, the Jets are a circus and shit like this only makes a bad situation worse.
