Well, there is plenty of rage out there on the left, but glad to see little or no violence. I've only seen Liz Warren this angry once before (When she got her Ancestry.com DNA results).

And that right there is the irony of it all. But just like Moob said, not all "liberals" were (are) in favor of mandatory vaccines... similarly, not all "conservatives" oppose all abortions. |

The two aren't exactly the same, but it's not really apples and oranges either. The idea that for one thing a person's argument is "'don't tell me what to do with my body" and then for another thing the same person has no problem saying 'I'm going to tell you what to do with your body' is ironic...and yes, it applies to both sides. |

That is why I ended my post how I did. When I said “if you want to look at it like that” i just meant anyone in general. In my opinion one choice (not getting the vaccine) is clearly a threat to everyone else. The other (getting an abortion) is not. Now if I remember correctly this is where SD said it is a threat to the baby. That is where we start talking about when is a fetus a baby etc etc etc. |

...That is where we start talking about when is a fetus a baby etc etc etc.
It's a debate worth having. There are strong opinions on both sides, and others in the middle. There is a point in a pregnancy where there is general consensus amongst medical professionals that a baby could then survive outside the womb; where before that, the baby's chances are not as good without a great deal of medical attention. I think it's somewhere around 22-24 weeks. That might be a good starting point. |

When Human Life Begins
American College of Pediatricians – March 2017 ABSTRACT: The predominance of human biological research confirms that human life begins at conception—fertilization. At fertilization, the human being emerges as a whole, genetically distinct, individuated zygotic living human organism, a member of the species Homo sapiens, needing only the proper environment in order to grow and develop. The difference between the individual in its adult stage and in its zygotic stage is one of form, not nature. This statement focuses on the scientific evidence of when an individual human life begins. https://acpeds.org/position-statements/when-human-life-begins |

The race card is thrown around so much anymore, that in my opinion people have somewhat forgotten the actual meaning. It's unfortunate, because there still is true racism in this country that needs to be addressed, but not every situation has a racist element to it. It just seems to be the "go to" these days. |

Read the articles i posted before you go jumping on chicos hear no evil see no evil train. Nobody is throwing the race card around Chief. The problem isn’t that everyone wants to play the race card - the race card is more than justified. The problem is nobody wants to put the thought into things and read between the lines. They just want to mention Margaret Sanger and move along. [emoji849][emoji849][emoji849] |
Re: The Most Fresh & Cordial Political Thread Ever
No. I don't need to read your four articles to hear with my own ears how much the race card is being thrown around, often times unnecessarily.
Again your 'everyone' and 'nobody' inferences just put people into categories where they don't belong. It's not that simple my friend. |

But there are millions who are. They hide behind a respect for life. Lol. They respect nothing unless it is exactly like them. Like i said though nobody (alot of people - obviously nobody is just a figure of speech here) wants to put in the work to see the correlation between white supremacy and anti abortion laws. Thats fine. You can just accuse me of throwing around the race card. Or you can research the correlation yourself. Up to you. |

Re: The Most Fresh & Cordial Political Thread Ever
As a show of faith from the white conservative delegation, we can start by removing all abortion clinics from anywhere that is not predominantly white. Only white people can get them.
We will save at least around 117,626 lives per year (over a million per decade), and none of them would be white. And that is just black child abortions in this country, would be even more if it included all non-white abortions. I wasn't really being serious. That would be a terrible proposal. White delegation popped into my head, and from there Chappelle's Show did. That show was amazing, in only 2 seasons with the full cast, they created so many skits that things in real life make me think of. It's pretty black and white for me: 99% of abortions are wrong imo, and the race of the person getting it done is 100% irrelevant to my own personal opinion on the subject. Now, I'm done with this subject, until the next time lol. Happy almost Friday everyone! |
