I am interested in seeing how the senate handles this. https://www.wsj.com/articles/house-passes-bill-to-set-up-puerto-rico-vote-on-statehood-independence-or-sovereignty-11671129267
Personally I think Puerto Rico should be allowed to have their independence. |

Totally normal for liberals to ignore how the fbi contributed to an Illegal surveillance state request speech to be suppressed. They are big fans of facism

Personally I think Puerto Rico should be allowed to have their independence.
I hope the Senate passes it as well, but they won't due to the fear of the idiotic xenophobic populist wing of the Republican party (MAGA) In the last three votes they voted for statehood but Congress just wouldn't act. They should be a state already. Americans get so friggen short sited every few generations. If Hawaii and Alaska weren't states already I'm sure there'd be a large element wanting them cut loose right now too. Land is a finite resource. As bad as Carter was as President the worst thing he did was giving the Panama Canal territory away. |
LOL. So weird. You would think there would be more important things to spend money on that tacky/petty stuff like that.

Wtf is going on with twitter? Now people can’t include mentions of their content available on other platforms? I am not on twitter but if I used it for business purposes this would infuriate me

Re: The Most Fresh & Cordial Political Thread Ever
Build processing centers on Mexico side ... pay Mexico a bunch of money and have the asylum seekers stay there while their claims are processed.
word gets out the US border is not open-open .. less people will come, people wanting to go through the process can wait, anyone caught crossing border gets turned back immediately and we stop the "give them a court date and release in the US" policy |

I don't know all the details though. I guess once they meet the agent they are released in the US? I am not the biggest fan of that unless the person seeking asylum has a relative that agrees to house them until their claims are processed. Agree with those jumping line being denied, we need rules. |
