Gotta love this from Schefty on the whole Harbaugh thing:

"@Adam_Schefter RT @EricStangel By the time this is over Jim Harbaugh will be 49ers coach, GM, VP, QB a multi-millionaire & dating a Kardashian."

Wasn't it you that told us the story about how Snyder asked Pat Bowlen about Shanahan right in front of Zorn at an owners meeting?

Nope. Don't think so

5yr, 25Million for Harbaugh to the 49'ers. Ridiculous on the 49'ers part.

I feel like there's a big difference between actively going out and looking for a new coach, and one owner joking around with another owner about that owners' current head coach, like Snyder did with Bowlen at the owners meetings.

Jim Harbaugh will go down as the greatest head coach in the history of sports...or so I've been told here, I think

If Harbaugh really is going to the 9ers, does this impact Lucks' decision to stay in college for another year?

He'll be a great one alright, too bad it is with the ****ing 49ers. They'll be in the playoffs next year.

Good question. Maybe Luck will change his mind.

Niners started 0-5, finished 6-10 and still finished one win away from a division title. Will the West be as bad next year? Probably not. But playoffs doesn't seem to be all that out of reach regardless of who's coaching them.

Anyhow, like I said I wish him well. Always liked him as a player and I think he hast the potential to be a solid coach, but we've down this road in the past with less than stellar results.

I will say the smartest thing he did was stay put in the Bay area. Because I remember one of the biggest issues with Spurrier was his family's adjustment to a new locale

Well fact of the matter is they're going to release Smith resulting in us picking him up and turning him into a pro bowler.
