Re: Yet Another QB Rumors Thread (Volume 9)
Being a redskins fan we are used to these type of christmases, we all have high hopes and then end up with coal. We have drafted QB's before in the 1st round and never left them develop, either too quick to plug on them for the old vet or we switch the o-coordinator. I just hope if we get a young QB he is groomed and given a chance to develop.
Well in all fairness Heath Schuler was the type of shot that a struggling franchise needed to take and unfortunately the mid 90's were devoid of either scouting or QB talent in general when it came to the draft. Especially 1994 through 1997. These days we have better scouting and kids being groomed 24/7 to play QB which doesn't necessarily mean a surplus of QB's but it at least assures that we won't have a repeat of the 90's when it comes to first round QB prospects which were absolutely terrible compared to the 2000's. |
Re: Yet Another QB Rumors Thread (Volume 9)
I'm gonna guess the Falcons. The need help rushing the passer but it's not an obvious choice.

Allen Wranglers actually. Good guess though |

Patriots!! They never trade up or trade first rounders for Big Name players! |
Re: Yet Another QB Rumors Thread (Volume 9)
trade picks, not our rock solid starters. that's how i feel
|
Re: Yet Another QB Rumors Thread (Volume 9)
orakpo would be a first round value i assume right? this brings up a bunch of questions i wonder what position we go after this does happen? will we pursue mario williams if we have a good hunch a team will go through with the deal?

What if we could pick up a much more rock solid-y-er starter like Mario Williams? |

Re: Yet Another QB Rumors Thread (Volume 9)
Ohhh what if its the Jets..or even the NY Giants...
|
Re: Yet Another QB Rumors Thread (Volume 9)
giants dont need another pass rusher i wouldnt think, but ya never know

The Falcons have no first round pick. If they traded any of their other picks they'd have no draft left. |

well Umenyiora may not be back and they have Tollefson headed to FA, so it definitely could happen because they love DL flexibility, the problem is that we wouldn't trade a great pass rusher to a division rival, but you wouldn't think that about philly and mcnabb so you never know! |

If the Texans don't keep Williams, he'd likely go to a 4-3 team. |
