Our mail lady comes in here everyday and is wearing no protection.

On a side note I just talked to my daughter and Washington (the state) will pay her (a nurse) $5,000 a week if she will fly there and work. I told her no but she is looking at her options.
The Seattle area is expensive as can be to eat and house yourself. Tell her to check into that first.
Does anyone know anyone who is showing objective signs of coronavirus?

So far, at least for my small world, its like Coronavirus only exists on the internet when I read about it. Its weird. Schools are closed, courts are closed, restaurants closed, sports and theater cancelled, Im running out of TP and cant find any anywhere ... I have all these external indicators that things are not normal right now .... but they are. At least for me. I go to work, eat lunch, come home, make the kid some dinner, put her down, watch TV, go to bed.

It hasnt effected me. I dont know anyone who has a fever. I dont see anyone looking sick in public.

We as a society are doing all these previously unthought of things like cancel the NCAA Tourney and its all anyone talks about .... but where is it?

Is it coming? And if so, just was is the "it"? No food? People dying outside hospitals? Forced quarantine?

Perhaps Im just anxious and this is the calm before the storm.

I just want to find some damn TP at this point.
My niece who is an EMT had a coworker that transported a woman with it. My sister in law is a nurse in Baltimore City and she said her wing was getting the first 2 patients a few days ago. But gladly so far I don't know of a person directly.

Not if you use and remove the gloves properly.

Only in the UK would they walk around wearing the gloves then sit down and eat without removing or changing the gloves.

"leading to an increased risk of catching the virus by touching your face or food with your gloves,"

I wear disposable gloves often doing grimy jobs like handling metal I machine parts out of that are coated with drawing oil, which is as nasty as well used motor oil. It is pretty easy to remove them without letting any contaminated surface touch your bare skin.

Well it just hit home. I just got a text from my oldest daughter 33 that she is home sick with a fever, sore throat, cough, and fatigue. She can't get a test because she is in the low risk factor and she is a nurse.

I bought 100 latex gloves and reusable toilet paper from amazon .. basically like a rag that you would use to change a baby, then wash and reuse.

Should I buy more gloves?

Should I be at work?

I feel like Im in limbo.

Is anyone else at work, doing normal work stuff?

Gloves are really unnecessary unless you have open wounds or can't stop touching your face

Most people can't stop touching their face.

Gloves won't help that

She does not seem to worried at the moment. Being a nurse you think they would have wanted her tested ASAP. She is at home but the Hospital actually told her she could come to work if she wears a mask.

A 5 year old from Elkridge Elementary has tested positive. Maybe 10 miles or so away from me.

If she has to be hospitalized, Ive decided I will then put me and my 8 year old on pretty strict home confinement.
