Re: Redskins vs. Patriots game thread
Brady Needs to score 1 more touchdown to keep up with his four touchdowns per game average. So I'm guessing they are gonna try (scratch the try) score again
|
Re: Redskins vs. Patriots game thread
Belicheck will certainly not make many friends in this league. Oh, I can't wait to hear what Gibbs has to say in his post game conference.
I can tell you what he will say...... "The played there guts off out there today a tough loss" |
Re: Redskins vs. Patriots game thread
They're gonna go for it?
We'll they aren't classy but I guess you don't have to be classy when you're good.
You may be too young to remember this. But in the opening game of the 1991 season the Redskins were up 45-0 on the Lions. With the ball on the Lions 1 yard line and a chance to go up 52-0, Gibbs pulled Rypien for Jeff Rutledge and had him kneel down 4 straight times so as not to run up the score. We won, and we won with class. |
Re: Redskins vs. Patriots game thread
I wonder what Gibbs tells his players after this loss?
I mean I dont think there's anything someone can say to make a player feel better after this... |
Re: Redskins vs. Patriots game thread
We fought our guts out?
LOL!!! Probably a good guess. |
Re: Redskins vs. Patriots game thread
well we were shut out in this same way in 05 against the giants and we went to the platoffs so we can get past this
|
Re: Redskins vs. Patriots game thread
Sorry, but this IS a class issue. Joe Gibbs would never do this to a team. Bill Belichick would. Belichick has no class whatsoever, as evidenced by today's game, spygate, his cheating on his wife, ripping a former coach in the press, shoving reporters out of his way. He is simply a punk.
I would honestly rather lose with class than win without it. LT was right, the Patriots have no class whatsoever and it starts with the head coach.
im talking about the score, not his personal life. i think its up the redskins to keep the score low, not the patriots. |
Re: Redskins vs. Patriots game thread
is it time to clean house? I mean cmon. I see the same thing happening with my NY yankees. Get rid of moss, portis and about 1/2 the coaching staff. Its time for Dan Snyder to use common sense

We will just have to agree to disagree because, IMO, running up the score needlessly is classless. |

I hope the colts kill these bastards!

Re: Redskins vs. Patriots game thread
Anyone above who defended the Patriots when they went shotgun and threw the ball on every play then went for it on 4th down up 38-0 should be embarassed. I have never seen anything like this ever. Bill Belicheck has no class, the Pats have no class, Brady has no class, that franchise has no class. I hope one of these days when Brady is in there and they are up big he just tears ever single ligament in his knee. That is absolutely pathetic. They truly are the epitomy of all that is evil. They want to show up the world because THEY were caught cheating? They are pissed because THEY were underhanded and duplicitous? Unbelievable. They are pathetic, I officially hate them and I wish only bad things for them, their players, their coaches and their ownership. I can't even express how angry I am at this moment. I would be embarassed if I were a Patriots fan. I would be embarassed if the Skins did something like that. Absolutely the worst thing I've ever seen in sports.
If anyone didn't read Gregg Easterbrook's TMQ column from last week you should take a look. It is really applicable right now. ESPN Page 2 - TMQ: Good vs. Evil |

Exactly, and that loss to the Giants put us at 4-3 as well. |

Gibbs has lost some of his old fire...ASHAME

I like Greg Williams defensive plan for this game....prevent defense all day!!!!!!

Quake, you have to be kidding me. We didn't have the injuries we now have back in '05, or the execution problems either. That '05 Giants loss was also a gift to the Giants since their owner passed away. Today was a total ass kicking given to us by the best football team on earth. We are a mediocre team, with the exception of the defense, which is now totally depleted in the backfield. Jets lost to the Bills today and will also be pissed next weekend. We either can get mad from this game or just tuck our tails between our legs, which worries me. This team hasn't shown much character all season. |
Re: Redskins vs. Patriots game thread
I thought we could squeak out a hard fought victory. Instead, we got blown out. Key injuries and costly turnovers didn't help at all. But it's not time to give up on the team.

Re: Redskins vs. Patriots game thread
They should just walk off the field now to save whatever little bit of pride they have left, if any
|
Re: Redskins vs. Patriots game thread
I must admit I'm on track for feeling a youth movement in DC. We've been doing what we're doing for some time, and it hasn't exactly paid off very well.
|
Re: Redskins vs. Patriots game thread
This is beyond embarassing. I would be surprised if our offense is ranked higher than 30th and our defense ranked higher than 14th by the end of the day. Granted, stats don't matter, but we are just getting straight up demolished.
My faith in JC and this offense has been shaken to the core. |

why? What upside do you see on the offensive end? I think the question really needs to be asked, has Gibbs lost it? I love gibbs and have for 20 years but cmon. has the game passed him by? yeah we came into this game 4-2 but dont forget we could have easily been 2-4 |

I'd just be happy with a few first downs and a FG. |
Re: Redskins vs. Patriots game thread
Total embarassment. I can hardly watch anymore. Our offense is just horrendous. Joe Gibbs and the skins should be humiliated. Unacceptable offense performance. No need to mention the D.
Wade and Fabina should be out of football, and especially not playing for the skins. |
Re: Redskins vs. Patriots game thread
This is the most ridiculous game I have watched ever. We have a top rated D and we are losing 52-0.

Not at all. And I can excuse our defense's play. I cannot, however, excuse the total lack of offensive production over these past 2 weeks. My faith in the Redskins offense, particularly in JC, has been totally shattered. |

Re: Redskins vs. Patriots game thread
While I recognize the irony of condemning Ol' Sweats for being classless and simultaneously praying for someone to shatter Brady's knee, it says a lot that we are saying meaner things about the Pats than we tend to say about the Cowboys.
I, too, never thought we'd be shown up in this manner. This is probably the most embarrassing game I've ever witnessed a Redskins team suffer through. Even the game against the G-Men where Mara's Ghost levitated onto the field and singlehandedly crushed us was less humiliating than this. It's not like Bob Kraft died or anything. |
