damn man you had to one up me haha.. ardbeg here
I've actually never tried Ardbeg. I love how peaty Laphroaig is. Ardbeg is also an Islay, so I'd assume it's pretty close to Laphroaig. Bowmore is really the only Islay I've tried that I just flat out don't like. |

it's good but I'm definitely a laphroaig fan due to the peat.. ever had aberlour a'bunadh? my friend stays on my case about trying it... and agree on the bowmore.. |

Never tried Aberlour, but if I'm not mistaken it's a Speyside. If it's at all similar to The Macallan and The Glenlivet, I'm sure it's delicious. |

correct.. very easy to drink being a speyside.. color me strange but I love the ten year.. it's a bit immature but that's part of what I like about it.. a good young speyside is a treat to me, gives it a bit more character |
Re: Drunk Thread
I'm pretty hammered guys. What's good. Happy Bastille Day for you frech brothers out there.

It's such a treat. I did happy hour today with a group of friends. Hopped around to a few spots in Bethesda. I'm pretty much in the bag right now. Rock and roll. |

Re: Drunk Thread
went out tonight for a friend's friend's birthday.. had a blast.. 2nd night in a row a chick has given me her number when I was leaving

Re: Drunk Thread
I've been on a tequila kick lately. Bought a bottle of Cabo Wabo Blanco, man that stuff goes down smooth. Feeling it a bit today though.

Hard to argue that. Might have to pick some up for this weekend now that u mention it. |
Re: Drunk Thread
Had 4 of them tonight. Man that's a kick in the teeth. 9% alcohol. Weeee
|
Re: Drunk Thread
That will get the job done!
|
Re: Drunk Thread
90 Minute is definitely a good sipping beer. I like how the Dogfish Head beers age well, some of their beers definitely get better with age. I bought their Black and Blue and Red and White on the brewery tour and for one reason or another, they sat on my wine rack for a year or so. Just as tasty as I remember them from the samples on the tour.
My buddy is coming up from Ocean City this weekend. Not sure what we're going to get into, whether it's many pints from the local Irish pub, hitting up one of the micropubs in town, or hammering cheap swill at the Turtle, but it's on like Donkey Kong. |
Re: Drunk Thread
I've literally been craving some Smuttynose Robust Porter this week, think I'll grab a sixer of that along with some DFH 90 today.
|
Re: Drunk Thread
Cant decide what Im grabbing between Bells Two Hearted Ale or Bear Racer 5, probably both...90 DFH is ok, little unbalance. Once you start approaching 100 IBU it gets tough to balance that taste...I strongly suggest Lagunitas Hop Stoopid Ale for a fresh taste at IBUs 100+ and 8% ABV. Piney fresh taste without finishing like a barley wine. Try it

I went to DFH in DE. on my vacation all good stuff but I was floored at how many calories are in the 60 and 90 IPA's. |

Yeah that's usually why I limit myself to 1-2 then move on to something lighter. The 120 is the worst, it's like a meal in a glass |

The 120 is the worst, it's like a meal in a glass
Yeah, this morning was a reminder of why I rarely drink the DFH 90. A nice headache, plus those four beers were probably over half of my calorie intake all day yesterday. But it's just so good when it hits your lips! |

Couldn't find the Stoopid Ale, they did have a few other varities of Lagunitas though. I'll keep looking out. |

Goooooood looking out...ended up going with 1800 Teq tonite. Hope you enjoy. Laganitas is just becoming incredibly solid with alot of their beers. Had a couple Lil Stumpys last weekend at the Outer Banks...pretty damn good. |

Eh the 1800 doesn't please me. It's on the same quality as Hornitos but more pretentious and the Sopranos dude in the commercial is a dbag. Curious who has heard of the following drink and what name it goes by in your neck of the woods (first of all understand w/ my wheat allergy cocktails are my beer so to speak): Captain and OJ w/ a splash of 7-up or Sprite. Sounds sorta girly right? but I drink it very stout w/ the Captain. In my town we call it a Haircut... |
Re: Drunk Thread
Hmmm never heard of that drink but it sounds tasty. I prefer the captain straight up on the rocks with a lime wedge.
|
Re: Drunk Thread
Not a rum guy. Never have been. Way too sweet, especially Captain Morgan. Captain on the rocks with no mixer Matty? Yeeeooww. That's nasty. So much sugar in Captain Morgan. I remember one of the worst hangovers of my life was after a night of drinking Captain and Coke. I've stayed away ever since.

Ive been drinking Kettles One vodka since college and love the sh*t out of that too. Both have "dbag-ish" commericals, but you gotta love Crissy, Sopranos is like top 5 show of all time |

There's very little sugar in the captain Captain MorganŽ Original spiced rum information It's the coke that brings the sweetness I like the private stock, it's darker and more smooth |

I got rummed out in 05.. rarely drink it now finally found DFH Blue Hen vodka.. gonna try that here shortly |

Re: Drunk Thread
OK so I am tired as hell and I have a few in me. I've got to ask if you had to invite 10 (aside from moderators: no ass kissing) Warpath members over for a party who would they be and why. For all intents and purposes all Mod's would be invited. Now if you feel obligated you may select some to leave out.
Here is my list Saden - to keep firstdown in check Schneed10- to keep me in check GMScud- just because he is cool Buster- a man after my own heart firstdown- because every party needs a dumbass hooskins- another cool mutha ****a 12thman- because he needs friends BDbohnzie- down to earth Tryfuhl- funny as hell mredskins- to balance everything out AMD- Just because he was at Art Monks training camp...gotta be some cool stories there. If you had to invite 1 female Dynamiterave- way cooler than hessy. Sorry 12th and Ladybrave. Honorable mention robbh made me almost piss myself. Ruhskins if it wasn't for needing a dumbass... Not mentioned EQ because I can always find his ass online. If I left you out don't get upset I love all of my Warpath brothers here on Sundays. |

I was thinking it would be kind of cool to have a meet up. I know Hess and SBF had the mini meet up a few years back. I was also thinking it be really cool if some movie company made a DOC one day about a particular board and had all the members meet at the end. |
