Thank God. If we got Stanzi there, well lets just say I always knew that if we ended up with a franchise QB he would come with some kind of catch.

Delvin is the Christian Ponder of FCS football. And I don't mean that as a compliment :D

52. Ahmad Black, S, Florida
53. Da’rel Scott, RB, Maryland
54. Darvin Adams, WR, Auburn
56. Taiwan Jones, RB, Eastern Washington
57. Vincent Brown, WR, San Diego State

Good pick, good value, could end up being a steal.

Actually a Running Back might be a better value . Don't worry though. We have 8 million 5th round picks and theres plenty of athletic zone blockers to choose from. At the very least thogh put two guys in the pipeline.

Whether the players and Owners can get it done is in question, but the Skins are poised to be very active in FA to fill a few more needs as well....like O-line.

Austin, obviously

Galloway was bad enough to get cut mid-season. haha

Galloway is our best receiver. You've just been in Oklahoma to long so you're not in touch like me.

I hope and pray that we don't even consider Vince Young. That would be far worse than any of the qb's we could have drafted this year. I'll take Rex all day over Vince Young.

Solid picks on all three slots. Very nice. Ifwe can find some steal with those 5th rounders we are in great shape. Just wondering what the QB scenario is

Re: 2011 Draft Thread Rounds 2-3

Love the Hankerson pick. I was a proponent of his quite some time ago. I think he'll be an instant impact receiver especially in the red zone.
lol Galloway
Thing was I was trying to think who was on our Receiving corps so I went to the stat page and thats where I was reminded of the tragedy that was Galloway.

Still it's a nice young unit now. Hankerson gives them decent size, Armstrong can strech the field, and Austin is capable of working out of the slot.

Just my type of unit, a bunch of scrappy mid to late round draft picks that have everything to prove and very little if any of the stereotypical receiver diva attitude.

WilbursHomie 04-29-2011 09:41 PM

Bruce and Mike are beginning to finally make me believe they have a vision. Whether you like the picks personally or not, it seems like they have an overall goal. Team players, at value spots while picking up picks. This is the most strategic draft we've had in a long time. Even without drafting any household names.

So is Jarvis Jenkins our NT now, or will we still have a chance to get one, like Powe, Fua or Kenrick Ellis?
