I am not bitter, but why all the fuss about Nike and new uniforms? It is truly just a marketing gimmick. I mean we have what 3 alt throwback uniforms already? I do like the new design, but I can't get all the fuss about it. The new uniforms aren't going to make your team any better, regardless of who they are. The Reskins have the coolest color combo in the entire NFL, and it has remained sharp since the current uniform scheme was introduced at the beginning of the Gibbs era. Maybe they want to have a redo for Shanny, but I am not so sure we will get the same results. I guess I am more of an anti hype guy anymore. It seems the more they hype something up, the less genuine or less quality that object or product is. Unfortunately, in this case , it means the NFL.

It's very clear some people simply like a jersey with numbers on it and pants with two team color stripes going down the side.

I respect the old uni's but their so plain and simple. I like the new designes, like the Bronco' and Vikings. Heck I'm sure I'm one of the few bu I like what Oregon does with their uni's and helmet.

Bottom line for me, it's my team, they are "just" uniforms, and they aren't maroon and black equivalents of the bumblebees up north. I'm good with them.

They're still the 'skins. I mean, until the Redskins match their glory years in modern times, I'll always identify the white jerseys with burgundy pants as the main Redskins uniform, but I'd be all for incorporating the throwback colors (the true gold color) with something new.

FYI -

You'll notice the old NFL Equipment shield on practice and sideline/fashion merchandise. Nike is using only the NFL shield alone on the actual uniforms, but everything else wlll still have the same Equipment shield Reebok used. I thought it was going away but that only applies to the gameday uniforms.

Flywire will sit against the pads better and wont stretch out if repeatedly pulled on. Sure it looks different but it is there for a reason.

It can be removed after they've suffered through a 12 year drought.

You can guarantee that we're deluged with new fans ([I]like my nephew who wears a different jersey every bloody year :nono:[/I]) and whilst I'd like to see more people here I can't stand the glory hunter fan.

it's driving me crazy. i can only find images of fake ones. some of them have solid white collars, some have the horseshoe/dress shirt collar in burgundy and white. i haven't seen any with completely burgundy collars (a la texans navy jersey/completely red collar).

i have to believe that they're going to be the horseshoe/dress shirt (burgundy w white in the front). why would they only make the replica/game like that and not the authentic/elite?

Heard from someone with access to the official team style guide that gold pants are back for 2012, but they've dropped burgundy pants...so white or gold pants all year.

I don't like the socks, however. They should stick with the socks they used in 2011, 2010 with the gold pants. They had an awesome retro look that fit really well.

I'm happy with dropping the burgundy pants this year. The only look they had with that that I liked was white on burgundy, but I like the white on gold just as much. I'm so glad to hear that burgundy on gold will be back, that's definitely my favorite uni combo.
