Re: Redskins vs. Rams Gameday Thread
Things that have to change if the Skins are to be successful:
Haslett Danny Smith Replacement officials Dumb penalties |
Re: Redskins vs. Rams Gameday Thread
WTF MORGAN?? you ****ing moron
cut Morgan and let him walk home....STUPID IDIOT!!!!! :madani: Where was Kyle's innovative game plan????? The defense was awful....Fletch was only one trying and at least he knocked the ball out and got a turnover.... Special teams are terrible....making key mistakes!!! On the bright side...well at least we can put points on the board and we did look better than the Cowboys......and what is the deal with the Eagles luck is on their side and I don't mean Andrew! |
Re: Redskins vs. Rams Gameday Thread
If I were the Skins FO, I would trade Morgan for a lame horse, put Morgan's jersey on it, then shoot the horse in front of the team, just to show them I mean business.
|
This is why i soaked in last week because there are going be more weeks like this week then last.
|
As much as i want to i can't blame the refs. We were there in the end and josh morgan made an enormously idiotic move. I hate Cortland Finnegan with a passion, and the Rams for that matter. Really disappointed.
The refs made some bad calls that benefitted the Skins as well. Just a pathetic showing by the Refs all around. How the Skins scored on a special teams play, won the turnover battle by 3 and still manages to lose is beyond me and should be alarming to all Skins fans. |
What morgon do did not see game
|
Morgan made a stupid mistake, u don't cut him for that. The refs let it get to that point the whole game was filled with those type of penalties that weren't called.
|
The main question this week was, can we play consistent football on both sides of the ball week to week? As of right now the answer is no. The offense has done its' part two weeks in a row, but defense/st has not.
Finnegan played the wrong sport. His personality and style makes him a perfect hockey player.
that was an excellent job getting into morgan's head causing that kind of reaction at that moment in the game |

Re: Redskins vs. Rams Gameday Thread
It is 1:40 AM right here in Paris. Watching a game which finished this way is soooooooo painful!
Merci Mr. Morgan! |
Re: Redskins vs. Rams Gameday Thread
Cut whoever is not holding down their assignment on the punt unit.
|
Re: Redskins vs. Rams Gameday Thread
By no means is Morgan not at fault, but even that play was called wrong. Should have been offsetting unsportsmanlike conducts on both Finnegan and Morgan.
i can't even put into words the amount of disgust i have towards these replacement refs |
I hate Finnegan but just D.hall he is good at getting inside his opponents' head and making them get stupid penalties.
|
Re: Redskins vs. Rams Gameday Thread
What morgon do did not see game
After he was tackled, and the skins were in easy FG range, Morgan stood up and threw the ball at the defender. Blatantly obvious unsportsmanlike penalty. As bad as Micheal Westbrook removing his helmet on the field, over a decade ago. Easy 15 yard dead-ball penalty. Took us out of realistic FG range.
Hard to say any play lost it for us, but that one hurt. And it was oh so unnecessary on Morgan's part. |
Re: Redskins vs. Rams Gameday Thread
Honestly this team has not been good/dominant in twenty years, it is unrealistic to have any expectation that Skins are 'supposed' to beat the Rams or anyone else for that matter. How many years now have we had the last place schedule and have had to go play the Rams? Four/Five years now?
Don't get me wrong I am fan, and have been a fan for a long time, when I was youger would probably have broken a couple keyboards, or put a fist into the TV/drywall after sitting through a debacle like this game. The worst part was all of the yards the defense gave up. It is the most worrisome thing about the game since the front seven was supposed to be the strength of the team. Garcon can't get healthy soon enough. On the subject of injuries how bad was the Carriker injury? |
Re: Redskins vs. Rams Gameday Thread
What morgon do did not see game
Morgan made the catch and Redskins were in field goal range 48 yarder and and Finnegan and Morgan exchanged words and Morgan threw the ball at Finnegan got a penalty that turned the field goal attempt into a 6o+ ydr which was missed and we lost the game. |
Re: Redskins vs. Rams Gameday Thread
I need to watch the postgame show but, I'm too disappointed right now.
|
Re: Redskins vs. Rams Gameday Thread
Radio just said no flags on Rams in second half.
|
Re: Redskins vs. Rams Gameday Thread
Shanahan says the injury to Carriker "doesn't look good". Right knee injury. MRI tomorrow.

If it is on his acl repaired knee then I think I he is out for a while or for the season. I'm not sure if it is tho. we will know for sure soon when we get the mri. |

As deranged as this is, I LOL'd at this. It was quite amusing watching this scenario play out in my mind....lol |

I wonder how many holding calls went unnoticed by their offensive line? |

A lot, like usually. Rak and Kerrigan getting held on almost every play like usual I'm sure. |
Re: Redskins vs. Rams Gameday Thread
Grant Paulsen said that Shanahan thinks that Carriker may need to get operated on and it doesn't look good.

my feeling is he's gone but we will see tomorrow from the mri |
Re: Redskins vs. Rams Gameday Thread
I think everyone needs to calm down. I'm still good cuz I know the redskins can legitimately win every game this season. I told you all that this will be a real test and that every point that the redskins scored would be well-deserved because they needed to be earned. After the Lions, who are very physical and aggressive in their own right, almost lost to the Rams - I knew that this would be a tough game.
I just hate it though when a team (or anyone) tries to bully or intimidate to get their way - which was what the Rams were trying to do in this game. I want to see how RGIII responds to this in the next game; the Bengals have a physical and aggressive defense too. This really is an opportunity for RGIII to learn and grow-- and we'll be able to see it the next game if he does. |
Re: Redskins vs. Rams Gameday Thread
I can't get over the field goal attempt. Cundiff is awful from 50 yards plus, his career long is 62, and Shanahan basically said that he has more faith that Cundiff will hit a 62 yard FG than Griffin will complete a 16 yard pass. Wow. I mean, wow.

Re: Redskins vs. Rams Gameday Thread
I thought Shanny was incredibly restrained in his critique of the officials.

If he was any less unhinged, he'd be on the verge of a Bobby Knight meltdown. |
Re: Redskins vs. Rams Gameday Thread
If it's any consolation, the Patriots lost to the lowly Cardinals today IN New England.

Haven't heard anything on Rak. I know he's nursing that shoulder from last week. |
Haven't heard anything on Rak. I know he's nursing that shoulder from last week.
Did he play the whole game? |
OK first time posting today, I had a blast at the game and in stl, the fans here were very respectful, and yes skins fans showed up from all over! As for the game. Defense was so bad I can't even comment really, we were lucky the rams gave us big fumbles and an int in the redzone. We started off on fire and then just couldn't keep it up. Griff is amazing kid is so fun to watch. Overall I was just thankful I got to see them live in person. Love my team we'll bounce back
|
Re: Redskins vs. Rams Gameday Thread
Rak had his pads off way before the game ended.

Pec injury again, not sure of severity. |
Re: Redskins vs. Rams Gameday Thread
Did he play the whole game?
No. At some point he came off and was standing on the sidelines with his pads off. |

Exactly, he has an amazing ability to piss people off and keep his cool. No one is better at playing head games then that man and today it sealed a victory for St. Louis. I personally kind of admire him for it. The big risk with Finnegan is weather or not he'll start a rift inside the locker room. [YT]BofMhJbev18[/YT] |
