Re: Falcons @ Redskins Gameday Thread
So here's the real question.
Will we even win a game at home this year? |
RGIII would've won that game I believe.

Re: Falcons @ Redskins Gameday Thread
U all still so sure about COUSINS?
No I think we should cut the rookie backup who came in cold. I think it's always wise to give up on players one-half into their very first NFL action |
Huge diff between our two rookie qbs

There's a reason why he isn't starting. You saw 2. |
Re: Falcons @ Redskins Gameday Thread
Lol @ trade bait after one blown coverage lucky td.... get real cousins needs more reps and we.need yo see more of him... and sadly i think we will... wish rg3 recovers well and takes the.needed time to SAFELY return. Nice try today by our team. Still week in and week out we are plagued by the same bullshit...

Re: Falcons @ Redskins Gameday Thread
To summarize this game: we need RG3 to have a shot at winning. But I think we already knew that.
RG3 needs to learn how to protect himself and Kyle needs to figure out how to convert 3rd and short situations. |

I think so as well. At least could've gotten us into OT. |
Oh and cousins was a wasted pick. Rex is better. Said this since the draft. Watched him alot in college.

WTF! Who the hell was he throwing to? Two over the middle INT's. We played that game last week and won with it you don't think the Falcons would be looking for that?
|
Re: Falcons @ Redskins Gameday Thread
any update on RGIII's condition? why didn't he return if he only needed stitches?
|
No I think we should cut the rookie backup who came in cold. I think it's always wise to give up on players one-half into their very first NFL action
I'm not saying he is bad at all. He didn't really have a chance. |
Re: Falcons @ Redskins Gameday Thread
Our defense did outstanding today all things considered.
Time of possession: Atlanta- 35:45 Washington- 22:54 Third Down Conversions Atlanta- 9-17 Washington- 1-9 This loss is ALL on the offense. Dropped passes. Failed executions on 3rd down, inaccurate throws and not understanding when to slide or throw away the ball. |
Re: Falcons @ Redskins Gameday Thread
Oh well! I think we probably lose this game with Griffin anyway onto the Vikings!

Yeah once he went down we were cooked. I like Cousins but the gap between RG3 and him is huge. |

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Rex is better because he's actually started. I can't blame Cousins too much. Dude wasn't brought here to be starter. He's a rookie backup QB. If anyone thought he was going to have some Tom Brady like showing they must be on glue. You can't throw Cousins under the bus, this loss is slung on the heads of the entire offense, save Morris. |

just brutal, now I know why I usually avoid it |
Re: Falcons @ Redskins Gameday Thread
I don't know, I am not too upset with this loss. Defense played very well against a top NFL offense. It looks like we will be in every game until the end each week, which is all we can ask for with this group of players really. Just hope RGIII isn't concussed, head problems can shorten your NFL career like crazy.
any update on RGIII's condition? why didn't he return if he only needed stitches?
Think it was more than stitches. I also think that by rule he couldn't return if there was even a hint of a concussion |

Than why is cousins dressing and not rex? I never thought cousins was that good in college. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Re: Falcons @ Redskins Gameday Thread
The two things that cost us the game is 3rd downs, and RGIII's injury. I don't put this on Cousins at all. He was put in the game with his back against a wall, and with zero snaps with the 1st string. It sucks, but we have a lot of good to take away from this game. DB's did a good job containing the most potent WR corps in the game, and for the most part Michael Turner was non-existant. ALmo is a freaking beast though. Good loss, it sucks, but it wasn't a blow out.

Rex sux....Cousins, IMHO...did Ok, for comming in cold...Rex would have thrown an interception on his first play. I agree that RG III is better, but, I too only want him to come back if he is completely healthy. If RG III is not healthy by next week, I would much rather see Kirk Cousins than Rex Grossman KCT - "No Matter Where You Go, There You Are!" |
Re: Falcons @ Redskins Gameday Thread
Not bad considering we lost our starting QB and played against an undefeated team that leads the league in scoring. We were in it all the way to the end.
|
Re: Falcons @ Redskins Gameday Thread
BY NFL rules RGIII couldn't return even if there was a hint of a concussion

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Yeah and I loved, loved, loved, loved the pick. I've been saying for years we need two young QBs and we got them! I think Cousins is a solid QB who can be a solid QB (but never a star) for 15 years in this league. That said, I thought they gave him little help when he came in. Didn't use Morris much. No quick outs to say Ryan Grant. etc. |
Lolol. You serious? The guy who has played in the NFL countless years is better then the rookie?
Awesome I watched Alfred Morris in college. His team went 1-11. Hes terrible
Team record has nothing to di with the potential you see in a player coming out of college first of all. Second of all you are lol'ing because i think the experienced knows the offense dude should be starting backup over the rookie who i think wasnt very good coming into the league? Are you serious? I mean remember when Manning was playing for the Colts and got injured, Painter came in and lost 8 games straight? When you've got an awesome starting QB, losing him hurts BAD. No matter who your backup QB is. |
