Re-joke alert!! This one originated in 1997 and went like this:

"Because many people find the team name too violent, The Washington Bullets have changed it. From now on, the team will be simply known as The Bullets."

This is just an observation and should have no effect on KISF's ranking amongst the funniest Warpathers. :)

Nice to know we're standing up to this issue. I definitely wouldn't mind if some NA reservations spoke up to the cause as well. It would definitely help our cause as well as bring some attention to the real issues they face today.

This wasn't a very smart tweet by the Ravens organization. I'm really really surprised the PR team hasn't pulled it down. It's pretty much saying......"it's ok guys if Ray beat his fiancee......see, she apologized for her part!"

In fact, that whole press conference was a disaster.

Yeah this is a cluster. When Big Ben had his transgressions there was at least enough doubt in both situations to look past it, but with Rice you got it on tape.

If he's found guilty or his fiance drops the charges solely to protect his financial interest then I think its time for Goodell to come in and lay the hammer, since the Ravens aren't going to do it.

Edit: Great charges were dropped by his victim. Seriously the NFL needs to start looking into these instances where the charges of domestic assaults are conveniently dropped.

That reminds me. (Trust me this video is very relevant to the Ray Rice situation and no I'm not being sarcastic.)
[YT]q_MLi2wAfdM[/YT]

Bottom line if the NFL is going to start poolicing players for little transgressions then it has to a better job of recognizing the difference between mistakes and f**k ups. For example

Mistake: Sammy Watkins got arrested for Marijuana Possession in 2012. Even though pot in terms of the law is overkill the fact remains that the risk is not worth it for a college player hoping to reach the NFL.

F*** up: What Ray Rice did.

Forgive mistakes, punish f*** ups. Heck whats the point of having a zero tolerance guy like Goodell in office if players are constantly getting away with f*** ups?

This has to be the most pointless boycott of all time. I mean how many bars and resteraunts are playing Bon Jovi songs these days anyway? Thats got to be as big a commitment as boycotting Cab Calloway and Mozart songs. Apparently thousands of bars and resteraunts across the country have unknowingly been "boycotting" Bon Jovi for years now.

While I can certainly understand being upset about the possibility of moving the team all this really does is remind people that Bon Jovi exists, increasing music sales and in turn giving him more money to buy the Bills.

Cowboys MLB Sean Lee was helped off the field with an apparent left knee injury on the first day of OTAs Tuesday.

A video of Lee being assisted off the practice field with a trainer on each arm is available at the link below. Per ESPN Dallas' Calvin Watkins, Lee was "swearing" after sustaining the injury, and uttered "Bleep me." Lee has been an All-Pro-caliber player when healthy through four NFL seasons, but has been on the shelf far too often. He's missed 15 games over the past two years.

Guy is like glass. Why even have him on the field in such a meaningless exercise

The guy is a professional football player. You can't wrap him in bubble wrap until the regular season begins. Some people are just more fragile than others and he clearly falls into that category.

Couldn't find a better place for this and didn't want to start a new thread:

At what point does Snyder realize he's going to end up on the wrong side of history on this and change the name? NFL players asked to support Redskins name change - The Washington Post

The discussion isn't going away and all of the press releases, letters, foundations, etc. all seem more and more hollow every day. Once sponsors start buckling he won't have a choice. ESPN and MMQB writers are starting to embrace 'Washington' or the 'Washington football team' rather than use Redskins in articles and columns. It's a matter of time before one of the major networks falls in line as well.

Snyder could make SO much more $$ by changing the name. Any current merchandise will be collectors items and any new merchandise becomes the hottest thing going. He's almost being foolish not to make the change.

Personal opinion, I don't care either way. I don't think it's as offensive as some have made it their agenda to make it seem but if it truly offends a segment of people then it should be changed.

cooley said last week that players sometimes try to hide an offseason non-football related injury until they get to OTAs, then at some point during the first day say "owww my knee" so they can get their contract money.

this probably only applies to tears etc that you can walk and jog on and conceal to a degree.
