Easier to read in regards to tweets. That way people can see it and won't come right behind and post an article broadcasting the same info. |
Wow. Tin foil hats abroad.
He's not faking a concussion. This is getting totally ridiculous on both sides of the coin. On one side we have people saying he's the greatest (3rd string) qb ever and all the coaches and personal are totally wrong...and on the other side we have people saying he's faking head trauma to get a paycheck. This all after people have said it was a team collusion to get him injured in the first place. Egh. Double egh. I can't wait for this to be done so I can start bitching about our secondary that can't tackle, because that will at least be caught on film. Something something something guy on the grassy knoll...something something shanahan book depository building. I'm over it already.
|

I have to agree!! watch and see, there will be some injuries around the nfl and if the redskins are patient they just may recoup some sort of draft pick …we can only hope. |

I would go with the first team offering a large bag of pretzels and a six-pack. I cannot see anyone seeing him more than a major project. |
Re: Cousins to start 2015 Season
even trading him for no picks saves us 3.7m, so that'd be a big win.

Re: Cousins to start 2015 Season
I have a horrible feeling that Jay Gruden gets fired and RG3 stays put, which means that the next new head coach would again start RG3. Has that ever happened in the NFL? Where the starting QB has been benched by two different head coaches for performance??

Can't imagine Scott would allow that to happen. My guess, the only way that would happen is if Scott and Jay are both gone. |
Re: Cousins to start 2015 Season
IMO rg3 in dc is over. Gruden is under pressure and rightfully so now that he has hand picked who he wanted.

Re: Cousins to start 2015 Season
Snyder could get so pissed after another losing season that he blows the whole thing up and starts over. There were rumors earlier during pre-season that he was described as being "livid" when a QB change was suggested to him. It is obvious that it took heavy, heavy persuasion to get him to change his mind, and he most likely told both Scott M and Gruden, that if it didn't work this season, they were both gone, and he'd find someone else to coach RG3.

That's quite a bit of speculation. I'm sure he is partial to RGIII and that it took some persuasion but like Ron Wolf said, doubt scot takes job if he wasn't going to be allowed to do it his way. Gruden is not Scot's hire so I can see JG getting fired if there is no significant progress this year. |
Re: Cousins to start 2015 Season
Can we stop with the wild speculations already?
McCloughan isn't going anywhere anytime soon. |
Re: Cousins to start 2015 Season
If Snyder was stupid enough to fire Scotty after 1 season, after he drafted what seems to be some really good personnel to build a team around over the next few years, I would completely bail on this team and never look back.
I know Snyder can be stupid but hopefully never that stupid. |

COULD?...Come on man! There have been several peeps IN the organization that have come out and STATED: Unified front! All on board! All Agree on the RG3 deal Etc. Etc. |
Re: Cousins to start 2015 Season
There was an article posted here a while back where Snyder was quoted as saying he really thought McCloughan had put a "fantastic" team together. What's his reaction gonna be like when he finds out it's not so fantastic? He's not exactly known for patience.

Snyder has continually showed patience. That is one stereotype of him I have never understood. I know his first 4 years he made rash moves but other than Marty (granted that was a big one) he has been more patient then most fans usually wanted him to be. Even now with RG3 the person mainly in the way of moving on is Snyder. There is zero chance that SM is fired after one year barring some non-football expose that blows up. Sent from my S6 Edge |
Re: Cousins to start 2015 Season
gruden needs to follow rg3 out the door.

They haven't even played a game and you are already saying they suck? Let's wait and see before we make a judgement. |
Re: Cousins to start 2015 Season
My hope is that Kirk is the answer at QB, but if not I really like Connor Cook. Super fast release, and he is 6'4. No more small guys.

There are some really good young QB's playing in college this year in addition to Cook. Goff at Cal, Kessler at USC, Rosen at UCLA and the guy that impressed me today, CJ Beathard out of Iowa (Bobby Beathard's grandson). |

Speaking of huge differences, I saw this on the Redskins FB feed. Not a huge oversight but still made me crack a smile.

Re: Cousins to start 2015 Season
You guys giving up on Gruden but bash Snyder for his lack of patience in the same paragraph make me wanna bash my face against my desk.
Gruden is year 2 of his contract. Him and Scot seem to be on the same page with everything and now he's going to be playing a QB that can maybe function in his offense. Not a project who limits the offense and under values are threats at WR/TE. I just don't get it. We can't even make it to 17 games for a Head Coach before wanting him pushed out of town. I need to remind people that we hired a WCO head coach and our starting QB had never run that offense in the NFL. Patience. For fuck sakes patience. He was a rookie HC last year as well. He's already made strides talking to the media. Let's see if he has made strides during game day before asking him to "leave with RG3" /facepalm |

The top coaches can work with anyone. So now, good ole honest jay got his way. He has the qb for his "system." So put up or shut up time for JG. |

I can't tell if you're serious. Come on now, look at all the well known coaches. Parcells, shanarat, Reid, Gibbs and so on. They are able to use the personnel they have. Skins fans of all fans should know what a great coach does, look what Gibbs won with!! Fact of the matter is Gruden is stubborn about what he thinks works, ok so now prove it. Shanarat, one of the biggest egomaniacs, adjusted and made it work. Reid has made the playoffs with captain check down at QB and should have beat the colts too. Gruden is a terrible coach until he proves otherwise and to be as stubborn as he is about his "system" makes it even more amazing to witness. |
