There still is no defending the Keystone pipeline decision. That was straight on virtue signaling that actually hurt the environment (That dirty-crude will now primarily be exported and refined to dirtier refineries in China and to a lesser extent transported in more polluting trains (Much more damaging than pipelines) to the US).

Idk .. importing sand oil from Canada? Do we have a need for more oil and oil sources? Seems like the only people who would benefit are the Oil Companies. If oil was some scarce needed commodity, itd be a no brainer.

We are already extracting oil out of all types of things .. and it does cause greater environmental waste. How does it help us? it creates some temporary jobs .. at the cost of the environment and having pipelines running through the countryside and potential for future leaks and issues.

End of the day .. that sand oil deposit is going to mined whether Keystone goes through or not. I just dont see any pros to it outside of temporary job creation .. at the expense of the environment. Ill side with environment over the oil industry all day.

So why are national democrats being quiet on this? Well Joe Manchin is a moderate democrat in a state that has transitioned blue the last few decades. They can't lose that precarious seat in an already tight senate margin for votes so they are going to just let these people lose their jobs instead of doing the right thing.

So obviously this is a bad look. But when it comes to Manchin, he is a dying breed in West Virginy which used to be all blue state…not anymore. Kasie Hunt…who opinions I generally loathe being she is a well paid liar…put it best once “Joe Manchin when it comes to West Virginia is the only game in town.” In reference for Democrats and his unwillingness to bend to progressives. He cannot be primary and his voters will not stand by him if he veers left. His margins have been steadily shrinking in races.

Democrats have no choice with Manchin on the federal scene or the state scene…there is no other Democrats there.

Why weren't republican's outraged when the trump tariffs were hurting American farmers ? .My question to you is how do you stop this company from closing down and moving , tax incentives, it's West Virginia not likely . Another question is why aren't republicans screaming from the roof tops about how much money his daughter is making instead of Biden Hunter paintings?

The Biden admin stepped in to prevent a very similar plant in TN from moving difference is in a potential district to swing. Look you want me to defend Republican response to this it is not going to happen but democrats have routinely ran as the party of morality and standing up to corporations. U.S. employers hired more workers than expected last month as a number of states ended extended unemployment benefits before the September expiration.

Nonfarm payrolls increased by 943,000 workers in July as the unemployment rate fell to 5.4%, the Labor Department said Friday. Analysts surveyed by Refintiv were expecting 870,000 jobs gained and the unemployment rate to fall to 5.7% from 5.9%. June’s reading was revised higher by 88,000 jobs to 938,000.

This is great news…grateful a lot of these states are rolling back these unnecessary welfare benefits.

U have 9 million jobs open, get to work. Plus the eviction welfare program is really troubling as it is not only unconstitutional, there is no reason for it. The money has been allocated and unused. Once again federal officials and city governments can’t deliver
