Re: Vick conditionally reinstated by NFL (updated)

Who knows where Mike Vick will end up? It's funny Kobe Bryant was forgiven for his case in Colorado. Marv Albert is working again as a broadcaster. Michael Irvin was forgiven for his past drug cases. Michael Vick made a poor decision and lied to Roger Goddell when asked about his involvement. Mike Vick was sentenced to 23 months in Federal Prison, lost his indorsements. He was released by the Falcons and lost his contract, which he had to pay back his bonus money. Vick got everything he deserved for making such a poor decision to take part in this dog fighting ring. It's time to forgive him and give him a chance to move on with his life. If he can produce on the football field he will get a chance. The NFL is a business and if you produce than you will have a place on a NFL team. How many chances did they give Koren Robinson? Leonard Little ( DUI Manslaughter). Funny how Matt Jones WR ( Jaguars) got busted with Cocaine in a vehicle and it was such a small story in the NFL. I guess if your not A big time star than its not news worthy. Give Vick a chance to redem himself. I love animals but he did not kill a human. It was wrong but we all make mistakes.

Was Goodell was commissioner when Little's stuff happened? I would be amazed if he was and Little is still playing.

As for Jones, it may have been a minor story, but no team has picked him up yet have they? And Baltimore definitely needs receivers.

If Vick can find a team he will play again. But apparently not alot of teams are in the market for him.

I think it has a lot to do with the crime. I lot of people love dogs and to picture someone hurting dogs offends a great deal of people. Even Hollywood stays away from abusing or killing animals in movies. I watch a ton of horror films that are supper graphic you hardly ever see a dog hurt in them and you never see a baby hurt. People are very senstive to both dogs and babies. I guess because both represent pure unconditationaly love.

I've said this before (maybe earlier in this thread, sorry if I have); regardless of how you feel about dog fighting, Vick took part in an organized crime for a couple of years, even bank rolled it. Some mistakes are short, one night of bad judgement, but this went on for a long time.

If it weren't dog fighting, say he was caught dealing drugs & had been for a couple of years, it would still be more serious than if he'd used drugs like M. Jones.
Well Kraft can say anything, but until Darth Hoodie says it so, this is still a possibility. Although Tavaris Jackson just got hurt, so I wonder if the Vikes would take a look at Vick now.
They still have Sage Rosenfels and John David Booty!

Seriously, the dude could've been fighting tigers or grizzly bears and people would just be like "lol" but since it's dogs we get all moist in the vaginal area. I mean don't get me wrong, I love dogs, but they're the same as any other animal in that regard.

I heard that...

Bullfighters who come here from Spain are not spoken with the same disdain by people who "love" animals so much. These bullfighters are killing much larger animals than dogs, and in a tortuous way.

I certainly don't approve/condone what Vick did or how he did it. The fact is that animals the world over are treated differently than humans. No matter how much animals lovers want them to be treated like humans, they are not.

I hope Cerrato and Snyder don't do something stupid like signing Vick to the Redskins. He's a good football player but not a good QB.

Vick is also a southpaw. That means his blindside is on the RT side...

:laughing- I think it's kind of funny how people react when one of the matadors gets gored. WTH do they expect when they're torturing a bull?
