Re: Around the NFL - Offseason thread
Finally somebody laid the smackdown on Chris Carter.

Sports
At the biggest moments, Carter was the smallest. There are no great performances like Jerry Rice in the Super Bowl. No memorable moments like Lynn Swann’s Super Bowl catches. Carter didn’t change the game in any significant way. On top of that, he’s one of the most arrogant human beings you will encounter. He talks down to everyone, including his cohorts at ESPN. It’s not just reporters who he literally looks down his nose at, it’s fellow players. There’s a great story out there about Carter pulling his “I played the game” maneuver on an agent one time while a former teammate of Carter’s stood by. After Carter walked away, the former teammate walked up to the agent and said, “I know how you feel, half the guys in the locker room wanted to kick his ass.”
:food-smil |

Re: Around the NFL - Offseason thread
According to Schefter, Stanford Routt has signed with the Chiefs. Does this mean Brandon Carr is on the market?

Re: Around the NFL - Offseason thread
that's a good signing for them

This. It also gives the Chiefs negotiating room with Carr, because they don't look so desperate now that they have a plan B if Carr leaves. I'm all for Carr leaving because I wouldn't mind us signing him, but signing Routt is a good thing for the Chiefs. |

Yeah, I don't see them using the tag on Carr. |
Re: Around the NFL - Offseason thread
With Rout signing with KC, this is great for us getting Brandon Carr, my question is are we interested in him?
Smootsmack do you know? |

Smootsmack do you know?
Heard last week that if he didn't get tagged, yes we would be interested. Looking to add a starting caliber DB this offseason from what I've heard QB WR CB Interior OL Not necessarily in that order |
