I was teasing you, but you were one of the guys that wanted him here if I'm correct. (last season's off-season) I know Chase and Moore have always been your boys. :) |
I realize we arent out of the woods. My comment was tongue in cheek. That being said as of rite now i dont think anyone is mentioning us in the qb issue department which is unusual.
Wait till RGIII has a bad game, that will all change. :laughing- I know what you are saying and yes, it is nice not to have to really worry about that position so to speak. |
Russel Wilson named starting qb

Thats awesome. I like that kid. Amazing all the rookie and second year starters in the league. |

3rd rounder too. Could turn out to be the steal of the draft. |

With a specific set of options I had thought Young was worth a risk. Matt Moore? Solid backup but not much more. Sanchez? Well I do like the Jets and I think he's better than he's shown. But no my dream scenario of the past few years would have been Bradford and Chase |

Yeah I agree. Ever since the 2008 draft with Matt Ryan(3) and Joe Flacco(18), its been pretty much expected that your Rookie QB should go in and start day 1 and not look like a 'rookie' anymore. Then you have Mark Sanchez taking his team to the AFC championship game in his first 2 years and Matt Stafford playing ridiculous when healthy and Josh Freeman looking good his rookie and 2nd years. There really hasn't been a QB since 08 who hasn't done well on his team and played awful like Rookies have in the past. Robert is going to be starting for us week 1 and I expect him to look like what these rookies in the past have looked like (Matt Ryan in 08), and not looking like Tim Couch of 2000. |

Freemon has only had one good year though, and Sanchez sucks. But I agree with what ur saying. |

Just for the record i was being sarcastic about the short leash with rg3. I agree with what ur saying. If i remember correctly couch looked horrid in the preseason - maybe had one good game. Ive already seen enough out of rg3 to know hes better than tim slouch. The deep balls will come with practice. Unfortunately some of that practice might be reg season games due to the lack of preseason playing time. Im all for it though. No injuries and no real look at our offense for opposing defenses. Im excited as hell for week one. |

Well runner up to alfred morris! |

Re: Around the NFL Preseason week 3
Hey SS, or anyone else who might know, who determines the preseason schedule?
I just noticed the ravens had game 3 last Thursday and will have game 4 this Thursday, but the Skins just played on Saturday and the next game is on Wednesday. That just seems odd to me. |
