Well i saw the story on espn, which doesnt exactly line up with the article. So, you really have no idea what is true and what is not do you BHA? None of us do rite now. Im glad you think u understand the situation though. You are the only one in the free world who understands it rite now. Lol. Excuse my "rant".
Edit: one thing is for sure rite now : either he was in on it or he wasnt. Our opinions seem to differ. To call my opinion an uneducated rant because i didnt read an article that you read is - well - just wrong.
It's well documented that he claimed to have met her in person. Now, it's possible he never did and just lied about it so he didn't sound like a loser. There is back tracking being done now, but he obviously lied about some details. |
Re: 2013 NFL Draft Prospects
Last bit of Manti Te'o I want to bring up:
A) Where will he be drafted if this is a hoax which he made up? B) Regardless of the answer to question A, would you draft Manti if he fell to us in the 2nd? C) I think this commentor on profootballtalk.com's comment section said it best: "fox6117 says: Jan 16, 2013 6:58 PM He has an easy out here folks: he’s going to claim to be gay and he made this girlfriend up to avoid being blackballed by the Heisman voters and NFL teams… that are clearly anti-gay. He’ll become the ultimate victim having to make up something so outrageous because college and professional sports don’t accept gay players. He’ll get the support of the gay community and will be the first ever openly gay NFL player."
I suggested option c earlier in this thread as well. Even if he's not gay, his best move from a PR standpoint would be to say he is. Suddenly he'd go from being a liar to being a victim and a hero. |

If that's the case I'd cross him off my draft board if I was an NFL team. He's got some serious 'splaining to do. |

If he is not gay he should not cover up a lie with another lie. If he says he is gay and gets caught with a woman at any point in his career... I can only imagine what people would say, especially folks from the gay community. |

Covering up a lie with an even bigger one, yeah not the best course of action. |

Why? He didn't commit a crime or anything. Although he played like crap against Bama he could be a good potential replacement for Fletch. |

Depends on how deep the rabbit hole goes, but I could see teams having serious trust issues with the kid and questions about his decision making and overall character. He's not undraftable, but again depending on how deep this thing goes I think it could be enough of a red flag for some teams to cross him off their board. |

Claiming to be gay while not would be the worst career move he could make. |

*I don't watch a ton of college football so I can't say for certain this is really the case, just saying what I heard. |
Re: 2013 NFL Draft Prospects
what is his specialty? does he do anything particularly well?
i'm telling you, he's a derek smith type at best: career may last close to a decade career may include plenty of starts career may not include any pro bowls should probably do better than smith's 13.5 career sacks / 4 career ints / 3 career forced fumbles |

All the mormon churches in Hawaii say they have no records of Te'o or his family ever being in the mormon churches.... :) I'm joking just stirring the pot |
