Re: Skins-Jags Positives and Negatives
Well it seemed as though they just werent ready in week one for the first half. Tonite should tell us more about their D.
Weren't ready for that mighty Jags attack eh? lol They were dead last against the pass last year and pretty much have the same personnel this year. Luck could have a huge night. |
Re: Skins-Jags Positives and Negatives
Through the first two games, Dallas has had the best statistical defense in the division.
To me that means this division is wide open and if Cousins can get hot...
I knew Dallas would be better than expected this year on Defense. One reason only, Marinelli. |
Re: Skins-Jags Positives and Negatives
Yeah, not too scared of Philly's D. If we are competent and avoid turnovers (pretty big "ifs" given the team's recent past), pretty sure we can move the ball on them.
Unlike the Jags, however, the Eagles O-Line is made up of quality starters. We will not be getting 10 sacks against them. Bringing pressure without losing track of players coming out of the backfield is going to be huge. I think K. Robinson will have a big impact on the birds game. Last year, the Eagles exploited Fletcher - even with his experience, he just didn't have the speed cover the options presented by their offensive scheme. Robinson, however, does. The question is whether or not he will recognize the play quickly enough to shut down the option. ... and safety play. B. Merriweather coming back should - hopefully - be big. Cannot afford missed tackles on the back end like a soon to be unemployed safety with a cool name has done so far this season. |

ESPN screwed with me. They have Washington giving up 23.5 points per game. That is how much they score. I thought it didn't make sense because no one has scored above 20 yet against them. My mistake, I should have double checked it. So now Washington has the best defense in the NFL... by a safe margin. Plus they don't play an offense that I would consider elite this year. The skins might have one of the best statistical defenses in the NFL this year. |
shocker.
Im in with the praise of treeland and Grant. Both are contributing...but Amerson is looking like a boss, big time. Big big test for the defense next weekend against ego kelly and egoles. The way you beat a soft team is hit them in the mouth and we got the Defense to do it.
And running game. One thing that hasn't been talked about is that yesterday Morris reached 3,000 career yards. What a beast. Game after game, he brings it. Morris doesnt go down easy. That guy Redd might have earned some carries too. |
Re: Skins-Jags Positives and Negatives
Well in Kirks defense the guy has never really taken snaps with the first team on a consistent basis except for last year when the season was already over. Lets see how he does when not only he is named the starter, but the shit still means something, and the players around you, (and coaching staff), havent thrown in the towel.
Except when he was the starter at Mich St. and already showed good/bad tendencies. Good and Bad Kirk have a long track record of appearing together. |
Re: Skins-Jags Positives and Negatives
todd collins 2.0
what an odd but somehow expected start to the season. |

Too many examples of college players transitioning to the NFL and just having polar opposite careers. Going from good to bad like Shuler or bad to good like Brady. Im not concerned about anything he did in college. It doesnt matter now. |
