Praise them whenever you can is my policy. Same as with my grandchildren. |

I second that!!!!!! But he is right Sudfeld wasn't the best pick, but he is tall and did make the Hoosiers a half decent team his senior year. |

Really hoping this change could be a major difference maker
Me, too. I love this quote from Coach Gray: “We just have to come out and ... just do the detail things that we talk about—our reads, our keys, our fundamentals, our progressions and things like that,” Gray said. “If we’re detailed with those then we don’t have any other choice but to be great. I just keep driving that home—greatness is in the details.” |

Su'a Cravens, Kendall Fuller can boost Washington Redskins' secondary - Washington Redskins Blog- ESPN
couple things: During the Redskins’ minicamp earlier this month, Gray said Fuller was the one player who jumped out most to him. “He’s been the one guy that has really impressed me,” Gray said. “The guy I saw on film last year and the guy I’m seeing now is a lot different player. little foreshadowing here: Rookie Fabian Moreau offers versatility, but because of a torn pectoral muscle, he could be out until late August -- or later " of course...always Gray said he was “pleasantly surprised” by how Cravens handled the deep-half duties at safety in the spring. Cravens showed last year that he can move forward well, making plays chasing the ball. “He plays with great anticipation,” Gray said. “The main thing is playing with depth. If he gets his depth, he has great reaction.” good stuff |

Re: New Look Defense
Was going back and listening to some podcasts from ESPN 980. In his interview with Cooley from July 12, Jonathan Allen says they are playing a 2 gap technique in the 3-4 defense.
I thought they made a switch to single gap when Barry took over. Have I missed something since Barry was fired? And if this is the case, it could really change the value of a NT in the defense. Redskins Media | ESPN 980 |

Re: New Look Defense
It's all execution. The biggest difference is the real or perceived need for a big dominate NT in a 2 gap who won't fold to a double team.

Which we don't have.

I want him getting up field and getting in the backfield, that's his strength. If the DL does 2 gap in 34 all 3 of the DL don't absolutely have to play 2. The NT and 1 DE can play 2 and Allen can get up field. Either way true 34 will only be about 30 maybe -40% of the snaps. |
Re: New Look Defense
Great! That means we will have adequate personnel on the field 60 to 70 percent of snaps! Yippie!
