You'll like Colt. He's good to his mother. |
Re: Redskins Free Agent Signings 2020
I’m still butt hurt that we didn’t get Hooper. I think Rivera was really focused on Cooper and thought if they just out-bid Dallas that we could get him. But there are no taxes in Texas and it’s not like Washington or Snyder has a good reputation in the NFL. The Redskins could not get both Cooper and Hooper so their money was there for Amari and Cleveland wanted Hooper badly and Hooper wanted to go there .
The rest of FA has been pretty much a non-event for the Redskins. It’m glad to see Fuller come back and I think he will shine here. I was pretty sure that Trent was gone, but an unintentional benefit of the Cooper non-signing was that he could stay here if Trent would drop his price. A possibility, although if it happens it will be much closer to the draft. If we get the second round pick, it will go toward a TE. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Re: Redskins Free Agent Signings 2020
DH was literally set up for failure. He got drafted to a bad team, by a lame duck HC that didn't want him, that did zero to set him up for success.
And by the end of the season he was still balling. Coming out of the draft he was a smart football guy and he clearly has all the physical talent needed for the position. Him not starting next year is another huge black eye on this franchise. Give the man some protection and some weapons. Still giving RR the benefit of the doubt. He's pushing the right buttons on Haskins. |

Dwayne will be motivated (he should be) to come in and bust his ass to win the starting job. |
Re: Redskins Free Agent Signings 2020
What's the latest on Smith? Cause we've been really quiet on the QB front. Maybe he's ready to come in and compete w/ Haskins.

If DH can't beat out a crippled 36 Y/O we are in trouble lol. I don't see why he's even risking further damage |

He’s just sitting out there eating away at our salary cap. The way I see it, his salary cap usage is escrow for Roullier and Allen extension money |
Re: Redskins Free Agent Signings 2020
I can't see Smith getting cleared medically to play.

me neither man, and do u really want to throw him out there? |
Re: Redskins Free Agent Signings 2020
Is best case scenario is post June 1st, Alex announces retirement due to injury and then we can apply the injury insurance Bruce and Eric placed on the contract? Isn’t that 12 million we can apply to reduce the cap impact?
S10 may have to help me out here... |

He won't retire, he wants that payday

I'm pretty sure he'd get paid if he retired. And after what he went through, I'm fine with him getting paid. Also, I think having Alex around is going to be important for Haskins' development. |
Re: Redskins Free Agent Signings 2020
Oh crap the Giants signed Colt. We could now have to face him twice a year.

Re: Redskins Free Agent Signings 2020
It’s unclear whether or not Davis will factor into the starting equation with the Redskins, but he has the athletic upside to do so. At 6-foot-1, 203, Davis has 4.46 speed and a 37.5-inch vertical, encapsulating very good athletic range and explosiveness. Julie Donaldson of NBC Sports, who has good tie-ins with the Redskins, stated on Twitter that the team “wanted someone to play opposite Landon Collins”. It appears as though Davis could be that player. He’ll likely compete with Montae Nicholson, a player in a relatively similar situation.
Davis will have to be more consistent in D.C., as well as stay healthy, but he has a very exciting athletic profile, as well as an intriguing mix of experience and youth; he’s only 26 years old, but he’s already started 41 career games. It’ll be up to the Redskins coaching staff to glean production from his potential, and if they can, Davis could outplay his contract value. https://riggosrag.com/2020/03/18/redskins-sign-former-steelers-maryland-standout-fs-sean-davis/ I havent seen a lot of Sean Davis in the NFL (watched him alot w the terps) but it appears he is a more center field deep-ball safety and should match up nicely with Collins .. at least on paper. 5 M, 1 year ... I like the addition. Hopefully he can be an above average starter for us. |
