Re: The Most Fresh & Cordial Political Thread Ever
^ it’s a tough call SS, but I’d try allies to the north in Canada see if we can import additional as well as getting keystone up and running.
Also calling our friends the Saudis too. Especially over that Middle East shithole Iran. |
Re: The Most Fresh & Cordial Political Thread Ever
Fuck the OPEC+ and the Saudis in specifically.
Hopefully 20-40 years from now the world wont be dependent on oil and these gas station dictator monarch shit hole countries can go fuck themselves. ---------- Short term we need to produce more oil, long term we need to r+D/produce non fossil fuel energy. 20-40 years from now majority of us will be driving E or alt fuel cars. Tractor trailers, fed ex trucks, amazon trucks, school buses = all electric. Currently 70% of the oil used in the US is consumed by personal vehicles. Teslas for everyone. |
Re: The Most Fresh & Cordial Political Thread Ever
Bidens Build Better would have given us electric school buses vs our diesel powered ones.
Conservatives - "We need to increase domestic production ASAP!" Liberals - 'We need to replace gas powered vehicles ASAP!" We need to do both. |

5B is chump change, apparently 2.5B goes to E buses and 2.5 goes to "clean energy" buses. 25B will replace 20% of the school buses. Sen Padilla (D) introduced the 'Clean Commute for Kids Act of 2021" on 4/21/21 to give 25B to electric school buses .. it was read twice then sent to committee on 4/21/21 and its been stuck in committee since 4/21/21. https://www.congress.gov/bill/117th-congress/senate-bill/1271/text?r=4&s=1 Wish we could get bi-partisan support for easing of oil production right now with money to increase E vehicles. |
Re: The Most Fresh & Cordial Political Thread Ever
1 side says there are thousands of drilling permits not being used.
1 side says drilling on federal land has been suspended. Are the "available permits" in way less profitable spots than on federal lands? Everyone involved in the oil game is not for every day Americans or really every day "insert country". |

So some of the thousands of un-used drilling permits are actually on federal lands, but basically un-usable based on fracking bans? |
Re: The Most Fresh & Cordial Political Thread Ever
I nominate Germany as the most useless fucking country in world history.
If they aren't starting wars, they are shoving all of their private parts back into their abdominals. Being a German must be embarrassing. |

Rising wages? LOL. How much did Trump raise the minimum wage to help out the poorest working Americans? How much has inflation and the COL gone up since minimum wage last rose in 2009? |
