We have to be the only team in the NFL that moves the ball up and down the field on the Eagles D all day, and then when it matters we suck ass. I feel like I just climbed the stairway to heaven, reached the top, and then God looked at me and said, haha I just wanted to see you work your ass off, your still going to hell.

What the hell happened to the defense today? We fell apart in the second half, and it wasn't because the defense was on the field for too long either.

I have to agree w/ an earlier post. This was a season breaker. Collapse at home. Worst clock-management I've ever seen in a professional football game. No emotion from Gibbs whatsoever. I don't understant, but he doesn't even look like he wants to be out there.

I've been saying it all along, but now more than ever I hope this is Gibbs last season as head coach.

The Skins let the Giants off the hook, let the Packers off the hook, and now let the Eagles off the hook. The Skins lose YET ANOTHER home game that they led at the half. Good teams know how to finish - This flat out is not a good team.

I have to say I hate that about Gibbs. The most unemotional guy ever. I mean he doesn't get happy, he doesn't get frazzled. I mean he stands out there like he's waiting for the next bus to come.

I think what that person was referring to is that the collapse today puts us I believe two games back on a wild card spot, and that we lost to one of the worst teams we'll face for the rest of the season.

First off, thanks Gmanc for providing me with score updates. Today, fortunately (or unfortunately) I was able to follow the 2nd half of the game via NFL.com. Seems like we played both our best and worst game of the year today.

Offense looked like it had some really nice drives today. And Portis is absolutely back. But these drives have, HAVE, to end in touchdowns not field goals. And of course, we need to convert extra points.

Defensively...were we missing some players or something? Apart from Rogers and MW. And it seemed like every other play was a penalty on the Redskins D.

I think they should have punted the ball just prior to that last touchdown. I'm sure had we done so it would have been knocked as too conservative. But trailing just by 3 points and with the 2-minute warning remaining I wouldn't have taken that gamble so deep in our territory. Of course, who would have thought Campbell would fumble...again.

Tough, tough loss. It's never good to lose to a division opponent at home. And it's not like we can afford too many losses. Now we have to go out and win a game that no one expects us to (vs. Dallas, at NYG). The Redskins could act like half their fans and give up now, or they can get their shit together and move on to next week.

Any given Sunday...any given sunday! It's not over until we are mathematically eliminated. Let's not forget we were 4-6 a couple years ago and ran off 6 straight wins to make the playoffs. We're 5-4 right now. It can be done. We looked good today. We gave the game away with dumb penalties, but why assume we won't go anywhere from here???
None of us wanted to lose this game...but what if...WHAT IF we actually beat the hated cowpatties next week???? Next thing you know, all those assholes will be saying we're on the road to the playoffs.

I don't think we suck. We have all the talent right where we need it most. I think we have a GLARING consistency problem. And I honestly don't know what they can do to correct that. I don't know if it's the players or the coaches, but it's something that needs to be seriously addressed in the off-season.

I'm not gonna go and say Dallas is gonna win the game next week, but the odds are in their favor. Next week we play one of the best teams in the conference and the Eagles play what many consider the NFL's worst team. If there ever was a time that we need to turn things around, this is it. Otherwise we're staring last place in the NFC East in the face.

This season is toast. Sorry buds, but we will not win another divisional game this season and will only win 3 more games tops. 8-8 is the best I can see us at this point. Right now this team is going nowhere. Hindsight being 20/20, bringing in Gibbs was nothing more than a gimmick by Snyder to keep the Skin faithful in line. This guy is a hollow shell of what he was 15 years ago. If GW gets the HC job it will not only be game over but franchise over. GW isn't HC material. We need to bring Cowher in here if he is available.

I wouldn't say they're not real fans. But many of them do make me sick as well. It's really frustrating to hear people complain all the time. And half the time, they have no idea what they're complaining about.

We had no timeouts left.

This sets up a must win next week...against a team far better than we are.

It doesn't really matter though. The offense made major strides today, but last year's defense is back. Nothing we can do about that, Gregg Williams has shown that he can't adjust.

It's so freakin annoying. Here we are losing to the Eagles and these non fans (yes they are not fans if they already say we lost to the cowboys a week before we play) are predicting future demise...does that sound like a fan to you????
