I do have to admit i changed my stance on one thing though: Blowing out teams that you are suppose to dominate.

The redskins have been playing in squeakers all year and could not pull away from the Lions or Cleveland and etc. I have to admit that I was wrong in saying that I'll take the W. IT shows us that the redskins weren't capable of scoring points, putting teams away, so that everything would be a close game. And you can't be guaranteed that it will go your way if you let teams stick around.

By your own admission, you are anti-Steelers... Cowher never puts up with the me-first attitude that haunts this team. I love Santana Moss. his punt return sparkedthe team to rally, but then his moronic TD celebration killed any momentum the team had. Cowher would have benched Moss at that point...

Fumbles happen. It's how a team responds to fumbles and interceptions that matter. The Skins caved after Cooley's fumble.

Sellers is the big let down to down and Cooley for that matter. Sellers wasn't even holding on to that ball tightly to extend it like that. That was 3 points right there which would have continued the momentum or hell, maybe a 4th and goal try.

Cowher would never come to Wash. Cowher operates on the idea that the head coach runs the team. The Redskins dont operate that way. The players answer to the owner not the head coach and until that changes it will be the same old thing we have seen for the last 10+ years.

he cannot call plays. he can't now; he wont be able to next year. enough is enough. no one seems to recall that he was QB coach in seattle for 10 YEARS without ever getting a promotion. What does that tell you? Tells me that those who know him best (Holmgren) know he is coordinator material, let alone head coach material.

We always seem to overcome those starts though and play just fine. Problem comes when we earn a touchdown, or at least a short shot at a touchdown, and it's taken away from us because the zebras don't know what "forward progress" is.

Passing offense, Campbell especially, but the protection as well was pretty good today. Run blocking was not great, and I'm afraid that's how it is going to be the rest of the year.

Defense has no excuse though for giving up 17 points in the first quarter AND not getting them off the field in the second half. Blache needs to go. He's awful.

If they have to clean house on the coaching staff, then they have to do what they have to do. But until someone else is drawing up the defensive gameplan, I think we will never produce a better defense than this one.

I would actually clean all the defensive coaches, just because I think they have such a jaded idea of what the problems are, that any solutions that these guys come up with are only going to hurt us in the future.

Campbell's impressive. He's just not getting any help from people who aren't Mike Sellers.

THe organization itself is doomed unless changes are made at the top down. Snyder isn't selling the team anytime soon so the only thing that will change is the HC and QB. Cerrato needs to take a hike and they obviously need better scouts. Gibbs should have never been rehired in hindsight, his second tenure took away from the hiring of a decent HC that could have been around for the long haul and restored the franchise with a long term plan. Gibbs calling it quits with one year left obviously took Snyder by surprise so we got who we have now as a result of desperation. No way Cowher comes to Washington now as the franchise is in shambles and is fast becoming a joke almost as bad as the Lions. Unless the Danny relinquishes his power over the day to day operations over the team, the Skins will always be average to mediocre.
7-9 here we come. Makes me miss the early Norv years to be honest!!!!!!

We're getting beaten by teams we should beat because we're turning the ball over in high leverage situations, and our defensive scheme sucks. That's really the only differences between us and the elite teams...because those are the only things that are different from the beginning of the year.

Most people did, including me. I thought the D could win this one with giving us 2-3 turnovers and some shorter fields. Guess I was wrong huh? The players are quitting on Zorn, which is a shame. Zorn needs to fiddle with his scheme in the offseason, that is if Snyder keeps him as HC.

So I guess your so smart that you called the Cooley fumble. It start there and then our D let us down in the 1st qtr then in the 4th but it did not help with all the mistakes in between. This was a team loose and not to be blamed on any one player.
